Infections
Infections are the unique currency of the Nurgle. You can buy plagues with it.
Its current amount is displayed in the upper middle part of the screen. You get it by winning battles, developing the main buildings in provinces, looting settlements, and spreading plagues.
The plague
The Nurgle's main unique mechanic is the ability to create and spread plagues.
To create your own plague, select your settlement or army, and the cauldron will highlight on the round menu (it was previously grayed out).
You will see a completely new tab. It allows you to can create plagues that can infect your own units/settlements or your opponent's.
In the top left corner you can see your current number of Infections. Below, you can see the Base Plague - the list of the main ingredients of the plague. They will determine its purpose. Here you choose whether you want the plague to help your troops or settlements, or if it should harm others. You can finish brewing a new disease by selecting one of these options and accepting it in the center of the screen. You should definitely consider modifying it.
The Symptoms are visible below. They allow you to modify your plague in various ways. This will introduce instability in the province, additionally weaken the enemy army or give you more Infection points, etc.
They're not available right away, though. You can unlock the first three rows by spreading the plagues. When you hover over the symptom you want to use, you will see exactly what base plague you need and how many times it need to spread for the symptom to be unlocked.
However, the last row can only be unlocked by researching the appropriate technologies.
Recipes are on the bottom left. If you don't want to create your own plague, here you can find ready ones, suitable for every use. However, you need to unlock the necessary ingredients beforehand, which will take some effort.
In the center of the screen, you can find a visual representation of the base plagues and the symptoms you chose. Below, you can decide whether you want to infect a previously selected target (army or settlement) or summon a Plague Cultist. The latter option allows you to summon a special hero who can infect the enemy target. This character has a 100% chance of success in their mission, but they die after completing it.
Underneath, you will find a button that confirms the entire process, and the total cost of infection points.
On the right, you can see a screen that provides a summary of the effects of the plague you are creating. Keep an eye on it the whole time.
Seasonal buildings
The Nurgle also have a rather unusual way of building related to their unique Seasonal Building mechanic. Most of the structures of this race, once constructed, grow by themselves until a certain point, and then the cycle repeats itself. More about this mechanics can be found on a separate page Technologies and buildings.
Recruitment
The Nurgle also have an unusual system of recruiting soldiers. Their units are not recruited over several turns, unlike other factions. Instead, they appear in your armies immediately, but start at half health. You can learn more about this mechanic on a separate page - Military.
Development
In the Nurgle faction, there is a close relationship between corruption and settlement development. Therefore, you should always make sure that your settlements have a lot of Chaos influence, which will significantly speed up their development. You can achieve this with lords that have the appropriate skills, buildings, or a commandment.
