The following page of the guide describes the equipment and missions of the lords and heroes in Total War Warhammer 3.
Equipment menu
You can get items for your inventory in different ways. You can get them as mission rewards, for random events, or find them after winning a battle. Check it out, because wearing them brings will give you bonuses not only to your character's combat skills, but also often to the province you're currently stationed in.
To open the equipment menu, select any lord or hero and click on the magnifying glass under their portrait in the lower left corner.
A tab will open, set by default to the equipment (although you can switch between its pages).
On the left side there's a tab that shows the stats of the selected character, their skills and traits. On the right you can see the item management menu. Equipment items are global, so you can freely swap them between characters.
Right next to the character's portrait, on the right, you can see which items and companions the hero/lord has on them. Further to the right you'll see a global list of Items and Ancillaries. It also includes the equipment owned by other characters.
Managing the equipment
When you select the equipment menu, look to the right. All your items are there.
You can find sorting options above the list. Select the type you are interested in - Items or Ancillaries and then, starting from the left, sort them by:
- unused items (check the box),
- rarity
- in ascending or descending order.
The option to manage items is under the list.
The first button - Fuse - will allow you to combine 2 items of the same category and rarity. Just check the boxes next to them. This will allow you to create a higher quality inventory item (though not necessarily the same type as the original items, so keep that in mind).
Salvage will allow you to cash in unnecessary equipment. Unfortunately, though, you won't get a lot of money for them, so Fuse is a better option.
Quests
At the top of the same tab where the items are located, you can select a page named Quests. However, this option is available only for legendary lords.
These quests are activated when your character reaches a certain level (usually 10). They concern leading a story-related battle. You have to lead it yourself, it can't be resolved automatically. If you win, you'll be rewarded with powerful, legendary, and very rare items.
To start the quest, you need to reach the blue pillars that will appear on the map. You can also teleport to them, but your lord cannot be stationed in the settlement then, and you'll have to pay a small fee.
