The following page contains tips on useful buildings and technologies of the Ogre Kingdoms in Total War Warhammer 3.
Technologies
The shape of the Ogre Kingdoms tech tree is quite simple - it stretches from left to right, with two offshoots per segment. To unlock further research, you must first complete the previous ones.
Although you can research cavalry technologies from the very beginning, you won't get much out of it during the first turns, because you can't recruit cavalry just yet. Instead, focus on research that generally affects your buildings and provinces.
Increasing the limit of ogre camps and improving their development is always a good investment. Don't forget about supporting the units that you have the most in your army.
Buildings
The Ogre Kingdoms are an unusual faction in terms of their buildings. In regular settlements, ogres cannot build buildings higher than level three. This means that better combat units or even farm buildings are unavailable there. This ties in with the faction's unique mechanic - Ogre camps (more about this on a separate page of the guide - Unique Mechanics).
This race may build its own "settlements". They work very much like cities. Most importantly, they can be expanded above the third level. You will create your most powerful units inside them. You can even place these structures on enemy territory, but their number is limited, so choose your deployment carefully.
It is worth noting that Camps expand similarly to cities, but not identically. You can build max 10 buildings in them at any time - you don't have to wait for the main building upgrades to construct other structures. However, each new structure costs one point of population surplus (you can find more about the settlement development on the Settlement development, buildings and climate page). This means that from the very beginning you should focus on the main building and military technologies to build a stronger army as soon as possible.
Meat is also very important in terms of building in this faction. Armies need it and use it every turn (more about it on the Unique mechanics page). Therefore, make sure you construct some buildings that will provide meat to your troops in the locations they're at. However, if you move your army, don't forget to tear them down, as otherwise they will reduce your income.
