World Tier | Tips for 1.4 patch The Division Guide
Last update: 19 December 2017
Tiers are a mechanic in Tom Clancy's The Division that was first introduced in update 1.4. They allow players to adjust strength of AI enemies to their needs. A higher Tier means that enemies will have higher levels. This also means that items dropped by them will be more valuable.
Available World Tiers
Available Tiers depend on your Gear Score. You can check it in the inventory (bottom right corner of the screen) - a mean score of all your pieces of equipment that are currently equipped. Currently (version 1.8), you can choose the following Tiers:
- Level 0 - set automatically when your character or any of the team members has Gear Score lower than 30.
- Level 1 - set automatically when your character reaches level 30. Doesn't require any Gear Score. Enemies are at level 30 and they drop items with a maximum score of 163.
- Level 2 - requires Gear Score of 182-203. Enemies are at level 31 and they drop items with a maximum score of 203.
- Level 3 - requires Gear Score of 204-228. Enemies are at level 32 and they drop items with a maximum score of 228.
- Level 4 - requires Gear Score of 229-255. Enemies are at level 33 and they drop items with a maximum score of 255.
- Level 5 - requires Gear Score of 256 or higher. Enemies are at level 34 and they drop items with a score of 256 or higher.
How to change a World Tier?
In order to change a Tier, you need to perform the following actions:
- Reach a required Gear Score - see the paragraph above.
- Open the world map ("M" key in default) and then hold "G" key. Select your desired World Tier from the newly opened window and then confirm your choice.
From now on the enemies have their levels adjusted to your currently selected Tier.
