Last update: 20 December 2017

There are six types of collectibles in The Division: Survival Guides, Phone Recordings, Incident Reports, Crashed Drones, Missing Agents, ECHOs. There is a different way to obtain each on. Thanks to finding all of the collectibles of a given group, you unlock a unique outfit Collectibles are pinned to your map permanently, after you pass close to one (around 50-100 meters away), so you will not run out of data to collect them later on. Some of them are located in enclosed mission areas, which means that to get them, you will have to replay the mission to collect them, if you miss them the first time around (you do not need to complete the mission). Also, many ECHO collectibles are connected with specific side missions of locating missing persons and often there is no other way to unlock them.

To make it easier to find collectibles, you can use one of the Security Perks - Intel Discovery. Thanks to this perk, whenever you complete all side missions and Encounters in a given zone, those of the collectibles that you have not yet collected will be marked on your map. To unlock this perk, you first need to buy an upgrade for the Security Wing of your main HQ: Canine Unit.

Survival Guide

In total, there are 24 guides. Most frequently, they have been hidden in tenements, which is why, after you find the location of a guide on your map, make sure that the door of the building near the collectible is open.

Phone Recordings

This one is the broadest group of collectibles - there are, as many as, 130 recordings available. These are fragments of phone conversations from before and after the outbreak, recorded on cell phones that you find. You can find them virtually in any location, although the most preferred locations are narrow streets and dead ends.

Incident Reports

These collectibles come as laptop computers and there are 40 units of this type of collectibles in the game. Just like Phone Recordings, the preferred locations for these are narrow streets, backstreets and sometimes inside buildings.

Crashed drones

Crashed drones may be difficult to spot, because they are located at heights. In total, there are 16 to find. They always hang down from walls at considerable heights. You have to find a way to reach an elevation from which to collect the remains of the drone. Before you collect them, however, you first need to shoot them down, thanks to which the part to collect drops down.

Missing agents

Often, information about missing agents is well-hidden. The key to find them is to locate, at least, one of several trails (sometimes their number may reach 10). While following each of the trails, you have to wait for a moment before they are analyzed. After that, an arrow appears on the ground. You have to follow it to reach the next trail and eventually, intel on the agents. To receive your reward, you have to find 20 units of data.

ECHOs

ECHOs are short holograms concerning a given location. There are many of them - 63 and the majority of them are connected with side missions (main missions of finding missing persons, where you also have to analyze clues on holograms. Many of them are also located near crossroads, sometimes inside buildings. To pick up a signal, you have to stand in the location of the marker and, after you load the hologram, activate it. Then, collect the data while still standing in the same spot.
