Last Stand in Division The Division Guide
Last update: 19 December 2017
Last Stand is the first full-fledged PvP mode (not counting Dark Zone) introduced in Tom Clancy's The Division. This mode is a PvP arena where 16 players, divided into 2 teams, face each other. These teams fight for a control over points scattered on the map, similarly to Battlefield series (Conquest mode) or Call of Duty (Domination mode).
Last Stand - how to participate in this mode?
In order to play this mode, you have to visit Base of Operations. Go through the main entrance and head straight - run through the long corridor, ignore the doors on the sides and go down the stairs. The Terminal is at the end of the path (more details in "Base of Operations" - "The Terminal").
When you reach the Terminal, you have to head straight ahead and then go right (north, according to the map). There, you can find the place where you can activate PvP modes. Select Last Stand and start searching for players. This mode requires 16 players which means that you may wait even for a few minutes.
Last Stand - gameplay rules
Just like every other game mode, Last Stand has its own rules. Understanding them is the key to success. Below you can find the rules:
- The map has 3 control points marked as A, B and C. Near these points you can find three objectives marked as 1, 2 and 3. A control point is captured when all three objectives are controlled by one team. If that team loses control over one of them, they won't get any points.
- Each control point controlled by a team generates 10 points per second.
- The only way to make the opposite team unable to get points is to capture one of the objectives.
- In order to win one of the teams needs to get 15,000 points or have more points than the opposite team when the time (20 minutes) runs out.
- Besides 16 players, the map is roamed by multiple neutral enemies - they allow you to get SHD points that you can then spend on bonuses for your team such as buffs or defense turrets.
Last Stand - tips
Follow the tips below to increase your chance for success:
- Capturing objectives that are within a control point is the key here - your team gets points only when you control a given control point.
- Don't waste your time on hunting enemy players. Instead, stay near the control points - you won't miss any action because most players go to those places. Also, this allows you to have a situation under control.
- Killing enemy players won't give your team any points - unless you activate the right team bonus.
- Each team is divided into 2 smaller groups, 4 players in each - this makes navigation much easier.
- Don't worry if the opposite team captures a control point - you can always recapture it.
- Choose one of the side roads if you can't reach a control point by following the main path. A few paths lead to each of the control points. Your enemies won't be able to defend them all.
- Defend control points but don't stand in a place where objectives are. This makes you exposed to attacks from all directions. Instead, stand a few meters away and shoot at enemies who want to capture an objective.
