How to reach West Side Pier? | Hints The Division Guide
Last update: 18 December 2017
West Side Pier is the latest addition of version 1.8. The location includes two new districts - Piers South and Piers North. Both of them provide you with new activities, including the new Resistance mode. However, you will have to reach the location by yourself for the first time (you will be able to use fast travel later on).
How to reach West Side Pier?
The quickest way to reach the new location is to launch the tutorial mission - "Investigate Camp Clinton". You can do that from the mission display on your world map. This way, a new indicator will be added. Just follow it to reach the new location. It's a good idea to use the closest hideout and fast travel there (it will save you a lot of walking).
As soon as you enter Piers South, turn right and access the new hideout of Camp Clinton. Run up the stairs and talk to the woman by the desk to complete your objective. Now, you can focus on one of the activities in this area, eliminate enemies located outside, or check out Resistance mode.
Remember - Due to the fact that you can encounter all types of enemies in both these districts, the fights will be much harder. Furthermore, different opponents can cooperate which means that you may face enemies with flamethrowers supported by soldiers.
What can you do in West Side Pier?
In West Side Pier, both in Piers South and Piers North, you can participate in several activities:
- Eliminate enemies to increase Combat Efficiency. You can find opponents absolutely everywhere, and gain a lot of experience points for killing them. It's a perfect way to increase your Combat Efficiency and gain additional gear (you can read more on this topic in a separate chapter).
- Participate in events. Numerous events can occur in this area (e.g. eliminate 3 enemy lieutenants). Complete one of them, and you will be rewarded with a piece of equipment, some Division Tech points, and Intel. Thus, this type of activities is perfect if you want to gain additional items.
- Collectible items - you can find collectible items in both districts, and collecting all of them will grant you 110,000 experience points. 4 items will improve your Combat Efficiency, which means additional gear.
- Resistance missions. These missions offer the best available gear. To launch a Resistance mission, you will first have to reach the location where the mission begins. You will be able to use fast travel later on. A separate chapter was devoted to this mode.
