You will definitely need it to compete against other players and begin more challenging missions. This chapter will answer your question.

How to get equipment quickly?

Several hours of gameplay should be enough to find some decent equipment.

The best way to obtain gear quickly is to play the Underground mode (updated in version 1.8). You will be able to participate in short and rather easy missions, and receive valuable items for completing these quests. Furthermore, you will receive unique experience points, and every time you level up (which usually happens after 1 mission) you will obtain a special Underground Cache. Inside the cache you will always find 2 random Superior or Set items. The higher the difficulty level, the more valuable items you can find.

How to reach Underground?

In order to reach Underground, you need to get to the main hideout (Base of Operations). Once you pass the main entrance, go straight. Now run through a long corridor, ignore doors on both sides, and go downstairs. At the end of your path, you will find a Terminal (you can find more about it in chapter "Base of Operations" - "Terminal"). All you need to do is run downstairs and activate the elevator. Here, you can launch an Underground Operation. Interact with the computer in the middle of the room, select your mission and the difficulty level, confirm your choice and take the train that will drop you at the starting point.

Where to get the best items?

At some point, you won't be able to find better items in Underground. Thus, you will have to focus on other available modes, such as:

1. Incursion -the hardest missions in the entire game (apart from higher levels of Resistance). In order to complete these missions, cooperation between team members needs to be perfect. One thing that we can promise is that the reward is worth the effort - you can get the best available items. Missions related to this mode can be found on your world map.
2. Resistance - this mode was added in version 1.8. It will be available once you visit two new locations - Piers South and Piers North. Your objective is to survive incoming enemy waves for as long as possible. You will receive 1 cache for every 5 waves you survive. Your cache can contain new equipment.
3. PvP - Skirmish and Last Stand. You can activate both these modes from the same location you used to enter Underground (Terminal). Take part in these missions, and you will be rewarded with equipment caches.
