One of the two bars in the upper right corner of the screen is the blue Energy bar, which in System Shock Remake is spent with the use of certain weapons and Wares (implants). On this page of the guide, we explain how to regenerate Energy - partially or 100% of the bar.
Actions that spend Energy
Energy in System Shock Remake is mainly spent by:
- Firing TB-05 Sparqbeam Sidearm weapon - obtained shortly after beginning the game and requiring Energy to function instead of traditional ammo. Sparqbeam has 3 potency settings and it is worth choosing less consumption if your energy is low.
- Selected Wares (implants) - for example, Energy Shield or flashlight require energy to operate. The more advanced the Ware, the more energy it can consume. Remember to turn off Wares that you don't need activated currently.
Power Stations
The most effective way of regenerating Energy are Power Stations. At each Deck of The Citadel, there should be at least a few of these stations and they are marked on your minimap.
Interacting with a Power Station regenerates Energy fully and completely (to 100%). After a single use, a Station becomes inactive, but after some time, it will come back online, meaning you can return to the same station and use it again.
Consumables that regenerate Energy
Restoring Energy in the middle of exploration can be done through using Battery Packs - these are consumable items found quite regularly in the world. Make sure to have some in supply for unexpected encounters.
In later phases of the game, you'll start finding Illudium-Cadmium Batteries. They are much more potent than battery packs, as they replenish Energy fully (to 100%).
