Resident Evil 3: Unnecessary items - what to do with them? Resident Evil 3 guide, walkthrough
Last update: 02 April 2020
This page of the Resident Evil 3 Remake guide has information on what to do with unnecessary items in your inventory. We described two main solutions - leaving less important items for later or getting rid of unwanted items altogether.
The inventory in Resident Evil 3 has a limited capacity and is identical in terms of mechanics to the previous entries of the series. First of all, try to pick up the items will help you survive and solve the current puzzle.
If you have some superfluous items in your inventory, a much better solution is to put unnecessary items into a special chest. These chests are found primarily in rooms with typewriters. Their contents are shared - after placing an item in the box from location A, you can take it out from the box from location B.
A much worse solution is to discard items from the inventory (Discard action) - these items will be lost forever. We recommend doing this only with the story items that have lost their usefulness, i.e. they have been used in all the intended places. Unnecessary quest items are marked in the inventory with a trash bin icon (example in the picture above).
