Primogenitor, another enemy from N'Erud, appears in The Hatchery. In this chapter of our Remnant 2 guide, we show how to defeat this opponent, and what will be your reward for doing so.
Primogenitor - boss description
Primogenitor is a parasite that likes taking over control of other beings. It is small and nimble, but without a host, it is not as dangerous as it might seem. The problem in fighting him is the very large number of enemies that can appear in the arena, so you need to decide whether to focus on the boss or systematically defeat incoming opponents.
Moveset
- Body - the boss starts the fight with a taken over flying creature that serves a a shield.
- Acid Release - from time to time, the flying creatures release balls of acid at random locations that deal damage once struck with an object or player.
- Corpse Explosion - the carcasses of flying creatures can explode if struck. This leads to emergence of small parasites from them.
- Jump and Grab - when Primogenitor is without a body, he will start to jump on the players and grab them.
How to fight the Primogenitor boss?
You should focus solely on attacking the Primogenitor and his victim. If you target other flying creatures in the arena, they will only appear anew, and more carcasses on the ground means more chance that the acid balls will hit them. This will lead to the appearance of smaller parasites - they don't deal a lot of damage and are easily killed, although they significantly interfere with the fight and distract the players.
When you kill a host, the boss will emerge from his body and will start to fight alone for a while. One of the things he will try is to jump on you. If successful, a curse will be applied on the target (that means you). Only way to shake him off is to perform a dodge. When Progenitor doesn't have a host, this is his only attack. Maintain fire on him and when you see him attempting to jump, perform a dodge.
If any of your projectiles will hit the carcasses, new parasites will appear. They are very easy to kill, as they have a small amount of HP. However, this does not mean that you should not worry about them. Kill them first, this shouldn't take you a lot of time.
Additional danger are purple projectiles which will get scattered in random places across the arena. They are the ones causing the most damage to you, and because of how many of them can appear, they may be tough to avoid. Stay on the move for the duration of the fight.
When the boss overtakes a body, you can still deal damage to him. You simply have to focus on the blue wings that protrude from the host.
