Tal Ratha (Metaphysical) - Boss description
The fight against Tal Ratha (Metaphysical) only takes place when during an important moral choice, you choose the option to let yourself be devoured by Tal Ratha. This will take you to another dimension where you face the alternative version of the boss. His head is his weak point. Despite his large size, he is very agile and can create portals and teleport almost instantly.
Moveset
- Projectile casting - this is Tal Ratha's main attack, later during the fight he will use it when far away from the player. The projectile takes a form of a ball that flies in a straight line very fast.
- Creating a circle - from time to time, the boss can create a orange circle on the ground. If it appeared near the boss, and he has teleported, the circle will quickly gain in size and fly towards the player. After a moment, the circle will go back to its original size, returning to the boss like a boomerang.
- Belch - Tal Ratha opens his jaw, pushing players back, at the same time firing black projectiles in different directions.
- 2 hit combo - most of the time, after the boss had teleported and landed close to you, he will start attacking with his hands. Watch out - these strikes have a long range.
- Star shower - the boss creates 4 star circles that quickly expand. With the fifth attack, all projectiles hit the ground.
- Charging - Tal Ratha can open his jaw and run straight at the players, attempting to ram them. After dodging the first charge, the boss can teleport and repeat the attack.
- Jump attack - there are a few variants of this move. The boss can launch himself in the air and hit the ground, or create an airborne portal and emerge from it hitting the ground. In every case, after hitting the ground, the boss will create a circle which will expand.
How to fight the Tal Ratha (Metaphysical) boss?
Upon entering the arena and initiating the encounter, focus on firing at the boss's head, as this is his weak point. Staying at a distance is a good choice for this battle, moreover thanks to staying away, you can avoid charges more easily and have extra time to fire at the head. Instantly after dodging a charge, start firing.
Tal Ratha (Metaphysical) will often teleport to close the distance, escape, or to use one of this stronger attacks. With each teleport, look at the ground - after teleporting and appearing in a different place, a circle may be created that deals a lot of damage. To avoid the circle, perform a forward dodge if it starts to gain in radius. If it narrows down perform a backward dodge.
When boss opens his jaw and starts pushing you back, you have two ways of proceeding. You can tank the projectiles (they don't deal much damage) and this way have time to fire at the boss, or start dodging to avoid them. A lot of dodging will be required, and if you've chosen this approach, try to fire at least a few times at the boss in between.
Star shower is the most dangerous move of the boss. Hence, timing is important here. Depending on how far away the boss is, different approach is needed. If you're far away, dodge once the star circles expand, if close - when the stars change location. Make sure to fire at the head after each dodge.
The fifth attack of this ability is different - it raises all stars and hurls them to the ground after a short while. When that happens, pay attention to the sky. Once you see the stars are falling, dodge instantly, otherwise you'll take a lot of damage.
Every attack of the boss is an opportunity to strike the head at least once. Tal Ratha (Metaphysical) is a demanding opponent giving no respite, but with each his attack, you have a window to take the initiative and fire at the head. Taking advantage of these windows is the way to victory against this powerful opponent.
