Remnant 2 - Is Melee Worth It
In Remnant 2, there are many weapons that you can fight with. In this article, we discuss whether melee combat is worth investing in.
Remnant 2 is a souls-like shooter game in which you must defeat powerful bosses with ranged and melee weapons. The second method, however, may prove worse for various reasons. In our guide, we will discuss whether melee combat is worth investing in this game.
Is melee worth it in Remnant 2?
When it comes to weapons in Remnant 2, players have access to a large number of them. For example, shotguns, sniper rifles, LKMs, pistols, hammers, axes and much more appear in the game (even knives). A certain number of fans of the title, however, are not happy with how the melee mechanic works in the game. In part, they are right:
- Flying enemies - many opponents attack from a long distance and can soar into the air. Hitting them with cold steel is not always possible.
- Bosses - while attacking with a sword or cleaver is great against a group of opponents, in fights against bosses it is not so effective. Many of the strongest enemies are very dangerous at close range, and some of them are impossible to hit with melee weapons, such as Labyrinth Sentinel or Mother Mind.
- Being surrounded - there is a great risk of being caught in the middle of a large number of enemies. In order to break out of this, a particular button must be pressed quickly (QTE). Unfortunately, while doing this, you are vulnerable to all attacks.
It should be remembered that Remnant 2 is a souls-like shooter that focuses primarily on ranged weapons. Melee combat is an interesting addition to the fighting mechanics. It is a great way to deal with large numbers of enemies and to save ammunition. Unfortunately, creating a character build focusing solely on cold steel may not work, as many enemies will be difficult to kill.
