Shuttle Bay | Side Quests Prey Guide
Last update: 28 June 2017
This section contains a list and walkthroughs of all side quests encountered during the exploration of the Shuttle Bay. Completing these missions is completely optional, but each one offers a valuable reward.
Escape Attempt
The opportunity to unlock this task appears after reaching the Escape Pod Bay which is located in north-eastern corner of the level one of the Shuttle Bay. The area is accessed through a staircase guarded by a turret. You should receive a message from Frank Jones, who will ask for your help in freeing up a rescue pod that became stuck in the launch tube.
If you want to help the group trapped in the escape pod, make your way to the main hangar and use the airlock to access Talos I Outside. Travel to the escape pod. You may encounter a number of Typhoons, including a Telepath. Moreover, there is a cystoid nest next to the capsule. In order to unlock the capsule itself, destroy the red latches similar to the one seen on the screenshot above. Use any weapon you see fit.
Return to the Escape Pod Bay once you've destroyed the latches. Make your way to the central console and choose Launch Pod 2.
Soon, you'll receive a thank you from Emmanuelle, who will guide you to the reward. Travel to the Mechanic Facilities, which can be found on level one next to the main hangar, and proceed to the Locker Room. Climb on the ceiling and access the briefcase containing a note and 2 neuromods.
Derelict Shuttle
The quest is unlocked by visiting the Pilot Longue located in the eastern part of level 2 of Shuttle Bay. The room is locked by default - use Hacking III or an access code acquired earlier. If you've managed to get access to the room, search the floor for a TranScribe belonging to Galel Seif, which should be found next to her body, and listen to the found recordings which should begin the quest.
The audio recording says that Exalt shuttle has sent an SOS signal. Your job is find it - the easiest way of doing so is by accessing the records at the local security station. Use the security computer and search for a person named Hunter Hale (screenshot above) to start tracking him.
Access Talos I Outside by using the airlock on level 1 of the Shuttle Bay. Make your way to the damaged shuttle (warning - there may be a weaver and cystoids in its near vicinity) and search for the body of the pilot, which should contain another TranScribe. The found audio log will contain enough data to complete the quest, but you can search the shuttle for neuromods and a Starbender series book.
