Mafia 3 PC system requirements
Last update: 14 October 2016
Mafia III is not a well optimized game. Playing it in stable 30 frames per seconds doesn't require a very strong system, but forcing the title to play in constant 60 frames or playing it in 4K resolution requires using a very strong personal computer. What's more, even with such hardware, a drastic frame drops might still occur while traveling through the city or during intensive shootouts.
The game isn't stable and it can suddenly close without a warning. Luckily, we haven't encountered a situation when a window closing would damage the save game or made any other troubles.
Important - After installing the first official patch the controls in PC version are changed. Their current version is presented on page Controls - PC.

Our hardware
The guide was created on PC version using hardware with following specification:
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor: Intel Core i5-4690 3,5GHZ 6MB
- RAM memory: 8GB DDR3 HyperX 1866MHZ Fury Black
- GPU: Asus Strix-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5
- GPU memory: 4GB
On the above system configuration the game had no trouble with keeping stable animation in 1080p resolution and with 30 frames per seconds blocked. It wasn't possible to obtain stable 60 frames per seconds with high graphics settings on this hardware.
