Southern Union (racist organization racket) | Walkthrough Mafia III Guide

It is one of two rackets in Frisco Fields. You can weaken it up after you complete the story mission "Get Enzo Conti" in which you meet with Conti in the quarry in Barclay Mills and in which together with him you escape from Marcano's men's ambush. Taking control over this racket is slightly different from other similar missions. Most of all, this mission is longer - you must generate at least 100 thousand dollars of losses. In addition to that, you will have to kill Chester Moreau who manages this business, because due to his racist views it will be impossible to recruit him. You will be able to weaken enemy racket by using various methods that are described below.

Important - Before you start weakening this racket, you should install wiretaps in all boxes in Frisco Fields. Be careful because one of the wiretaps is located in enemy camp. Before you get to the box in order to install wiretap, try killing or at least luring away (by whistling or using the Screaming Zemi) all nearby enemies. Lincoln will need about 10-15 seconds of peace to install the wiretap.

Meeting with Jackie Grimaldi

Jackie can be found in the restaurant at the highway. During this mission you will meet with her three times. The first conversation will be about determining the first ways of weakening the Southern Union racist organization racket.

Interrogating the member of Southern Union

Lincoln can decide to interrogate one of the members of Southern Union marked on the map. The interrogation is similar to objectives from previous missions. You must catch the target by surprise or chase him if he escapes. At the end you can kill or recruit the informant.

Destroying Southern Union's supplies

Look for explosive objects located near the supplies

There are many locations marked on the map in which racist items are stocked. You will encounter a group of enemies near each such stash and you can eliminate them or focus only on getting to the objective undetected. The stash can be located in a building like a garage or on open area. Look for explosive items nearby that can be used to blow them up. If there is none, then use your own explosives, for example the Molotov's cocktails.

Attacking the meeting places of the members of Southern Union

The members of the racist group are gathering in three different locations - in the mansion, in the Heritage Center and in the camp at the edge of the city. In each of these locations you must eliminate all members of Heritage Union. You must be especially careful when attacking the mansion because there will be a few enemy officers there (as shown on the above picture). If you don't want the police reinforcements to be called, eliminate the policemen with a single fast attack, for example by dropping a grenade under their feet.

You must defeat the members of the Southern union in open fight or by silently taking them down one after another. In addition to murdering them, you should collect the money left by them and you should destroy the propaganda materials that you can find nearby.

Murdering Southern Union enforcers

If you use explosives, civilians might get hurt

This objective is related to possibility to kill even five enforcers. Each successful assassination will weaken the Southern Union by 7500 dollars. Uncle Bartholomew can be found in the alley at the back of the garages. You can shoot him down with a good rifle or drop a Molotov's cocktail to the place where a group of enemies is standing. Sadly, by doing so you can kill an innocent civilian that is tormented by the racists (the same goes for a few other enforcers described below).

Uncle James can be found under the bridge. In this case explosives can be helpful as well, but you can also simply drive over the enforcer with a car or lure away the enemies one after another towards the nearby stairs.

Uncle Jude is standing near a church. Once again, it is best to use a good rifle or grenades/Molotov's cocktails. You can also use the parked cars as cover.

Uncle Thaddeus is at the back of the luxury mansion. On the way towards him you should silently eliminate a few enemies. You can shoot down, burn or lure away the enforcer.

Uncle Andrew is on the construction site. Since it is a very open space, a sniper rifle will be very effective. You can also drive over him with a car or throw explosives at him.

Interrogating another member of Southern Union

You will be able to interrogate another member of Southern Union after you complete first steps of weakening this racket (a new icon will appear on the map). The interrogated person will inform you about a large event planned to happen in The Bellaire's supermarket. Once you obtain this information (you can kill or recruit the new informant), go back to Jackie Grimaldi and talk with her about what you learned. This will unlock a larger mission objective related to checking the supermarket at night.

Sneaking up to Bellaire's supermarket

You can focus on this objective after you interrogate the second member of Southern Union and speak with Jackie Grimaldi again. The task requires you to sneak into the supermarket at night, but luckily you don't have to wait for the right time of day. Position yourself in the place shown on the picture and press the interaction button and the game will speed up the flow of time.

Consider using the side entrance to the building

You could enter the supermarket through the main door, but it is better to select the side one that is guarded by a single opponent. Furthermore, in the side room you can find a bulletproof vest that can be useful.

You can whistle to convince Mason to leave the room with the auction

Find the stairs leading to the first floor of the building and reach the room with the illegal auction. Your task is to get the person responsible for organizing the auction - Mason Carter. You can lure away other enemies from the main room or you can break in and open fire. Once you catch the target, you must interrogate him. After that Lincoln will automatically kill him.

Important - Be ready to face reinforcements in the supermarket even if you acted silently. You can "barricade" on the first floor and eliminate the enemies reaching you one after another or you can quickly leave the building (preferably through the side door) before the new members of Southern Union surround the area and start searching it.

Saving the victims of human traffic

The people are imprisoned in a small cabin

This objective becomes available after interrogating Mason Carter in the supermarket. You can save two groups of imprisoned people. Each successful rescue operation will weaken the enemy business by 25 thousand dollars.

The first group is held in the Fossats on the northern edge of the district. It is a cabin on a hill to which a country lane leads. Near the cabin there are about five enemies and you should eliminate at least a few of them. You should lure them away to avoid raising an alarm. In order to save the held people you must open the cabin door.

Entrance to the bunker is at the back of the mansion

The second group is imprisoned in the Gaudets, one of the luxury mansions in Frisco Fields. Go to the back of the location and find an entrance to a bunker. Soon you will reach a chapel. If you don't mind participating in a shootout, attack the enemies and take advantage of the fact that the hostiles cannot surround you. Otherwise, you should try killing them with headshots or luring them away with whistling. Once the area is secured, open the green door.

Robbing the Coyote

Take the money from the table

The Coyote has a cabin in the western part of the district. Once you reach the destination you can break in immediately and steal 10 thousand dollars. However, watch out because members of the Southern Union can appear in the area after you leave the building. It is best to react with a fast escape (you can also shoot them down or throw a few grenades at them) because there is no place for an effective defense near the cabin.

Murdering Chester Moreau

If needed, you can weaken Chester with grenades and a good gunfire

Once you weaken the Southern Union enough (actions related to Chester are marked with orange points on the map), go back to Jackie. Speak with her and then go to Bellaire's supermarket in which previously you hunted Mason Carter. Once again it is recommended to use the side entrance to the building. You should take the bulletproof vest on your way.

Chester can be found on the first floor. Use any stairs available to get there. Don't suggest yourself with the fact that Chester must be killed because it will be easier to get to him by sneaking up. If you weren't detected, then sneak up on him from behind and surprise him. Otherwise you must attack him until he kneels. Once it happens, walk towards him and execute him by pressing the interaction button.

Important - In the end you must decide who will receive the racket - Cassandra, Burke or Vito. Each of them will offer you a different bonus in exchange for the racket. You should know that you will be able to change your decision - after taking over whole Frisco Fields you will have to decide which underboss will assume complete control over it (including all of the rackets in the area).
