Below you can find the walkthrough for the mission in which you must murder Lou Marcano. This task becomes available after you complete the mission "Kill the Judge", where you eliminate judge Holden. The assault on Lou Marcano will take place on a luxurious ferry. Before you attempt to complete this particular task, make sure that Lincoln has a full supply of adrenaline injections and a bullet-proof vest. It may also be in your best interest to acquire a good shotgun, machinegun or another weapon of a similar type, which excels at short and medium range combat.
Setting the charges
Begin by meeting Donovan in the marshes, and then drive his van to the location of the coal dumper. The machine is guarded by three enemies, who you can eliminate without a problem, either with precise headshots or by luring them out from their positions and killing them quietly.
You have to activate four detonators in various parts of the metal construction, this is an extremely simple task, as you simply need to approach the marked locations and press the interact button. After the charges have been set, head to the hut by the river and detonate the explosives. You will then see a very spectacular cutscene, in which Lou Marcano's ferry is halted.
Finding Lou Marcano on the ferry
Jump into the water and swim up to one of the ladders to board the ferry. Turn left and head for the great hall, where Lou Marcano will be speaking to the scared quests (on your way you can find a storage locker with armour). You can open fire immediately or you can wait for your target to leave the room, which will allow you to ambush consecutive opponents.
Getting to Lou Marcano
Try to get rid of all nearby enemies or at least those, who directly prevent Lincoln from reaching the stairs. More enemies await Lincoln on the top floor, however, eliminating them should be quite easy, as long as you remember to constantly stick to cover and stay far away from locations, in which the enemies try throwing Molotov cocktails. Lincoln will be traveling along a very linear route, so it will be impossible to get lost.
While pushing through the consecutive areas on the ferry you can make your job easier by using the Intel View mode, not only to locate enemies quicker, but also to find crates with adrenaline injections or a new bullet-proof vest. Soon you will reach the hall shown in the picture above, where a more challenging battle will await you. Due to the presence of snipers you can fall back to one of the previous rooms and also pick up a such a rifle or you can try to quickly reach the stairs to deal with them on a short distance. Apart from that, make sure to use e.g. explosives to the best of their advantage, as they will not be useful to you in the later parts of this mission.
After finishing the fight head to the top level and clear the passage to Lou's location. You will now watch a short cutscene. When the cutscene ends you will be back in the marshes. Do not worry about the damage you have sustained, just follow the escaping target. The game will ultimately allow you to get close enough to Lou Marcano to perform a takedown (by pressing the interact button).
Rewards for completing the mission: the complete takeover of the French Ward district.
Important - After completing the mission Lincoln will return to the estate in the marshes to decide which of the underbosses will receive full control over the French Ward district. As before, you can yield control to the underboss that has previously taken over both rackets in the French Ward or pick a brand new owner (the ownership of the rackets will also change).
