Mona is quite good for a sub-DPS, dealing a lot of damage from Hydro, both with her normal attacks and Elemental Burst. In addition, she can easily impose different reactions, so Elemental Mastery is a very useful stati for her.
- Artifacts - 2x Noblesse Oblige 2x Wanderer's Troupe/2x Noblesse Oblige 2x Heart of Depth
- Weapons - The Widsith/Skyward Atlas/Mappa Mare
The Elemental Mastery attribute influences Mona's damage the most. Therefore, a good set of artifacts will be 2x Noblesse Oblige and 2x Wanderer's Troupe. This will give you 20% more Elemental Burst DMG and 80 Elemental Mastery points.
Using the second set of artifacts, instead of 20% more damage provided by Elemental Burst, you will receive 15% additional Hydro damage. This set focuses more on normal attacks than Elemental Burst.
The best choice of weapons will be The Widsith. It will increase your Crit DMG. Moreover, it has a random, unique effect after appearing on the battlefield for 10 seconds. This can be increased base ATK by 60%, Elemental DMG by 48%, or Elemental Mastery by 240 points, and that is only the Refinement on the first level. Mona will make good use of any of this buffs.
The second weapon is Skyward Atlas, it is five-star one. It will increase your ATK. Weapon skill boosts Elemental DMG by 12%. In addition, basic attacks have a 50% chance on Favor of the Clouds, which will injure opponents for 15 seconds, inflicting 160% of your ATK DMG.
The last weapon is a wise option for F2P players. It' is called Mappa Mare. You can create this Catalyst at blacksmith. With it, you will increase your Elemental Mastery, and in addition, triggering Elemental Reaction will guarantee you 1 stack (maximum 2), giving you 8% Elemental DMG (maximum 16%).
Hydro Support Build
Mona can also be developed to deal maximum damage to other party members, mainly due to her Elemental burst.
- Artifacts - 4x Emblem of Severed Fate/4x Noblesse Oblige
- Weapons - The Widsith/Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers
This build should focus on as much Energy Recharge as possible. Thanks to this, Mona will be able to use her main ability more often, which is Elemental Burst. Therefore, it is worth equip 4x Emblem of Severed Fate. This gives Mona a 20% ER and increases Elemental Burst DMG by 25% up to a maximum of 75%, depending on how much Energy Recharge you have.
You can also focus on 4x Noblesse Oblige to increase Elemental Burst DMG by 20%. But most importantly, having four parts of this artifact, after using the EB, other party members will receive a boost, which is increased ATK DMG by 20% for 12 seconds.
As in the previous build, the best weapon choice for Mona will be The Widsith.
On the other hand, Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers is very friendly for F2P players. If you switch from Mona, who has this weapon equipped, to another character, you will increase the ATK of the hero who appeared on the battlefield by 24% at the first Refinement level. The effect lasts 10 seconds. Since it is a 3-star weapon, you'll quickly reach max Refinement, which makes ATK being increased by 48%. All Mona has to do in this build is charge and use Elemental Burst, and then you switch to a different character, so this weapon, although three-star, can be very useful.
Talents
Talents are abilities used by every character in the game. In the case of Mona, depending on the build, you should focus on the individual skills in a given order:
- Sub DPS - Ripple of Fate, Stellaris Phantasm, Mirror Reflection of Doom
- Hydro Support - Stellaris Phantasm, Mirror Reflection of Doom
When it comes to Hydro Support build, you don't have to spend your resources to increase the level of normal attack because you won't even use them.
Constellations
Mona is a great character - universal, powerful in each role already at level C0. It is also one of the few characters whose successive constellation levels significantly strengthen her.
If it comes to DPS, it is worth obtaining her three times, so you will boost all reactions at level C1 by 15% damage, and normal attacks at level C2 will have a 20% chance of becoming charged attack automatically.
In the case of becoming a support, it would be good to draw her four times to have her at level C3. This will increase your Elemental Burst by 3 levels.
