To make things worse, the crew receives a signal indicating that they might not be the first people sent to this planet.

The gameplay consist of conversing with the “Martian” and choosing the right dialogue options.

Each ship owner tries to scavenge the remaining resources in the area in order to escape, even if it means taking away lives. There are two teams composed of up to 10 players. They are in control of various spaceships that can be customized and upgraded. The game mechanics in Dead Star resembles old-school arcade shooters.
