Up the Creek | Wumpa Island | Levels Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Guide
Last update: 18 July 2017
Secrets:
Clear Gem - destroy 48 crates.
Bonus round: Tawna - collect 3 tokens with her image.
Description:
This stage is very similar to Upstream from the first island, due to the fact that is also requires you move up the river. This time Crash will have to face even more traps and dangerous locations.
Start going up the river and be careful when jumping between floating leaves, as it is easy to miss your jump. At one point you will have to jump from a floating leaf to a carnivorous plant. Your timing needs to be perfect as the leaf cannot get too far away and the plant can't eat Crash.
During this stage you need to watch out for two monkeys that will run across stone platforms. They can easily push Crash into water, so wait a moment before you get close to them and defeat your opponents with the Spin.
Explore the level and you will find a metal crate presented in the screenshot. If you jump on it, it will take you the collapsed tree you came across before. Near a small waterfall, some new crates will appear. You can destroy them.
Not far from there, you will find a portal that will take you to a bonus round, and if you collected all Tawna's tokens, you can use it. This secret location includes 30 wooden crates, and getting rid of all of them won't be an easy task. You will need to make your way through crates, located above the metal one. It will catapult you and you will be able to jump across crates in the upper part of the screen (see screenshot). The main problem is that Crash will jump beyond the screen, and thus make it harder to land properly. Proceed with the bonus round and you will come across some more crates hanging over an abyss. For getting to the end, you will be rewarded with 2 additional lives.
The portal that will end this stage is located not far from the place where you entrance to the bonus round. All you have to do is to avoid one carnivorous plant.
Remember - after this stage you will face the boss - Ripper Roo. The fight was described in a separate part of the guide.
