How to get all the trophies? | Crash Bandicoot 3 Trophy Guide Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Guide

Last update: 21 August 2017

General information on trophies in Crash Bandicoot 3

Estimated trophy difficulty level - 6/10 -Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped is easier when it comes to obtaining trophies, than the rest of the games in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, but this does not mean that obtaining a platinum trophy does not require well-developed skills. Again, the most difficult trophies to obtain are the ones connected with relics. Placement of traps in many of the stages is annoying and obtaining a set of, e.g. gold relics may be problematic. The only consolation is the fact that in many of the stages, reaching the finishing portals does not take much time (assuming that you decide not to smash crates and do not to explore optional areas along your way). Also, what is a bit more problematic in Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped is obtaining all the clear gems. To get to the locations where you find them, you require a set of color gems, and you can obtain a single one only after you have obtained, at least, 10 relics.

Estimated time necessary to complete the game in 100% - More than 20 hours. The amount of time necessary to obtain platinum is difficult to estimate, because all depends on the player's proficiency. Additionally, in the case of Crash Bandicoot 3 also familiarity with the classic version of the game is rewarded, because in both editions stages look the same.

number of trophies - 25 - You can obtain 8 bronze, 10 silver, 6 gold and 1 platinum.

Offline Trophies- 25 - All trophies in the game are available for obtaining in single player mode.

Online Trophies- 0 - In Crash Bandicoot 3 there are no multiplayer trophies.

Does the difficulty level affect how trophies are obtained? - The option to determine difficulty level is absent from Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. The only facilitation is that, after you die several times, the game may lend you a hand and summon Aku Aku mask that provides additional protection from certain threats, and creates an additional checkpoint.

Option to replay stages - Provided - What is even more, using this option is indispensable, because in many of the stages, it is impossible to find all the crates the first time around. Additionally, time trials become unlocked only after you have completed the stages in the regular manner.

Minimum required replays - One + replaying of stages - Each stage that you have already completed can be replayed, e.g. to find the crates that you have missed earlier, or to play time trial. You select stages in the warp rooms adjacent to the main hub. New areas unlock in groups of five. The only exception are bonus stages 26-30 - they are in the basement that you reach using the orange lift (it appears after you have obtained 5 relics).

Plan to obtain all the trophies in Crash Bandicoot 3

Step 1 - Complete all the main stages and defeat all the bosses

In the basic campaign of Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, there are 30 stages. 25 of them are exploration stages, whereas the remaining five are boss fights. Main stages are unlocked in groups of five and an interesting thing is that stages belonging to the same group (e.g. futuristic stages) can be completed in any order you want. This becomes useful in several situations, where you first have to obtain a gem that you can use on an earlier stage of the same group, to access a secret path.

Just like in the previous installments of the game, you do not receive any trophies for completing exploration stages. On the other hand, they are awarded after you win a boss fight. In the game,, there are five such bosses to fight, and each victory rewards you with a trophy. This way, you can obtain two bronze, two silver and one gold trophy.

Note - From the very beginning of the game, try to save you progress manually before each stage you start. If, while playing the stage, you lose too many lives, you will be able to load the game. The purpose of this is to obtain A Stitch in Time Saves 99 trophy, which you receive for collecting a total of 99 lives.

Step 2 - Obtain 25 relics

There are three trophies connected with relics - Buckle Up, Boys, Buckle Up!, Is There a Problem Granny?! and Boo-yah, Grandma! Boo-yah!. In the previous installments of the game, it was recommended to leave obtaining them for last, but in Crash Bandicoot 3, you should start doing that right after you have defeated Neo Cortex (the final boss) and obtained Speed Shoes, which help you obtain better results in time trials. This is because you will require relics to:

  • Obtain the Yellow Gem - you require, at least 10 relics
  • unlock stages 26-30 in the basement - for this, you require 25 relics

An important piece of information is the face that you can unlock the above rewards even if you collect sapphire relics (the worst ones). However, to obtain trophies, you should strive to obtain, at least, gold ones. Of course, this poses a challenge, which requires you to familiarize yourself with the stages and routes, but also requires you not to make any mistakes while completing the stages and not to stop anywhere for longer.

Step 3 - Unlock 5 color gems

There are green, blue, violet, yellow and red gems. Obtaining four out of them is connected with exploration of stages and this should not be too problematic. The only problems that you may have are with the Yellow Gem. Obtaining it has you unlock the secret stage 27 Hang 'Em High in the basement (see step 4 for details), which becomes available only after you gave obtained, at least, 10 relics. Then, you gave to complete the secret path, which will reward you with the gem.

Step 4 - Complete all secret stages and obtain all 30 relics

In Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, there are seven bonus stages. Five of them are stages 26-30 in the basement and, as already mentioned in step 2, you require 25 (any) relics.

Apart from the stages in the basement, there also are additional stages to unlock - Hot Coco and Eggipus Rex. In this case, you have to take unique steps in two main stages of the game and find secret portals, thanks to this. There are two trophies that you receive for finding these portals - UFO Xing and Getting Carried Away.

After you have unlocked all the bonus stages, obtain the five missing relics and make sure, again, that these are gold ones, at least (you do not obtain relics in stages 27 and 29, because the portals only warp you to the inaccessible parts of stages that you have completed earlier).

Step 5 - Obtain 37 clear gems

There are two trophies connected with obtaining clear gems - Leave No Gem Unturned and Bringing Down the House.

The number of clear gems that you can obtain depends on the stage and, at most, these can be 2 stones. You can receive them, e.g. for smashing all the crates in a stage, for completing Death Route without dying, for winning bike race and for exploring a secret path that you open with a color gem. To learn more, see the description for trophy Bringing Down the House.

Note - You do not receive any gems for winning boss fights!

Step 6 - Obtain trophies connected with various actions

You can obtain some of the trophies without even doing anything special. For example, you receive Warts and All after you are hit by a magic projectile launched by a mage, or you receive Taking the Scenic Route for exploring the first bonus round (the majority of them are difficult to miss).

When it comes to other "minor" trophies, you may have to break a sweat to obtain them; for example Your Moment of Zen for dodging from items thrown by a monkey until it runs out of them, or Category Five for defeating any five opponents with Hurricane Spin performed by Coco (this is an additional playable character of the game).
