Lephantis | Bosses | Warframe Warframe Guide & Walkthrough
Last update: 24 May 2018
This short chapter is devoted entirely to Lephantis (or J-2000) Golem - boss of the Infested in Warframe. Here, you will learn where to find him, what you can receive for defeating him and how to defeat him.
You will find him during the mission on Orokin Derelict - Assassination. To enter, you require Orokin Key (and to craft that, you will require Lephantis Nav Items - that you obtain during any Orokin Derelict mission.
Due to high number of health points, fighting the boss solo may be tedious. During the mission, you will keep taking damage from electricity and poison, and the boss is invulnerable to those effects. It is recommended that you take along a high-damage ammo-effective weapon (e.g. Sybaris. If you are familiar with the boss's attacks or quite proficient at dodging his attacks - you can leave a defensive Warframe and take an offensive one with you (e.g. one that increases damage dealt by your attacks). Use your melee weapon to kill the Infested, do not waste ammo on them - they will become in handy against the boss.
Lephantis has three heads - each one looks different and has different abilities. He can use shockwave, to knock you out of the arena The heads can also knock you down, whenever they appear on the arena beneath.
The first head (Infested Corpus) throws toxic grenades, dealing high toxic damage, and summon the lesser Infested.
The second head (Infested Grineer) uses scythe, the path of travel of the scythe is always horizontal. For shooting at the face, you will receive a damage bonus.
The third head (Ancient Infested) throws bombs, once they hit the ground, they explode after a while and deal high damage - damage does not ignore the shield, but it can kill a low-level Warframe on the spot. Also, it can summon the Infested.
During the first phase of the fight, Lephantis will try to take advantage of the fact it lives underground and will try to attack from there. Infested Corpus will attack as the first, then Ancient Infested. Infested Grineer will join in halfway through. Each of the heads is resistant to damage, with the exception of weak spots, which appear when the heads start to attack. Corpus head's weak spot is on the lips, Ancient's on the neck, Grineer's on the head, lips and neck. You should destroy Corpus heat as quickly as possible, since it is the only one that can ignore your shields. As long as you remain mobile in this phase, you should avoid damage. In this phase, try not to deal too much damage to Ancient Infested. After a while, Grineer Infested will join in - his attacks are quite inaccurate and he can only be a threat when he appears under the ground. At this point, all three heads can attack you, so deal with Corpus. Once you have eliminated it, the rest of the phase should be easy. Attacks of the head with the scythe are easy to dodge, whereas Ancient Infested will keep hurling bombs at you - when he does that, simply walk his way.
Once you have defeated all of them, collect everything that is left on the arena and phase two will start. This one is, in fact, a copy of the first one. The only difference is that the heads can neither get back, nor attack simultaneously. Keep in mind that the Infested are still appearing - use them as a source of ammo and health.
Ember with Power Duration and Power Strength will make the boss easier to defeat - while up in the air, always use the third ability. In single player, Rhino and Loki are highly useful.
For defeating him, you will receive blueprints of Nekrosa components. Also, you can receive mods: Quick Return, Rebound, Spare Parts, Stabilizer.
For each of the heads, you receive: Parry, Pressure Point, Eleventh Storm, Equilibrium, Provoked.
