Warframe - Controls and movement Warframe Guide & Walkthrough

Last update: 04 April 2018

This chapter focuses on controls in Warframe. Warframe features a Parkour 2.0 system that expands the options to move through the map. This enables the player to complete all missions very quickly and escape when threatened.

Basic movement

  1. Bullet Jump - can be performed by pressing crouch and jump keys (by default CTRL + Space). This movement can be performed on any surface or while in the air (if you haven't performed a double jump or bullet jump before). It can be performed horizontally or vertically, by moving the crosshair to the front or under/above the player.
  2. Double Jump - simply press the jump key twice (by default it's space). It can be performed in any direction and on any surface. It can be performed in air after performing a Bullet Jump.
  3. Front Dodge Roll - it's a simple dodge performed by rolling. To do it, you must press the sprint key (by default it's shift) twice. It can be performed while in the air (even after aiming in the air) and in any direction.
  4. Aim Glide - aiming in the air. You can perform this action by aiming with the right mouse button.
  5. Ziplining - when next to a zip-line, press the use key (by default it's X). You will be able to perform ziplining. You can also use the line to ride down by holding the crouch key (CTRL). You can jump from the zip-line or you can use Bullet Jump.
  6. Soft landing - when jumping from higher altitude or after a vertical Bull Jump you can do a Hard landing - the character will stop at the landing spot for a moment. To avoid that and quickly move to the next action, press the crouching key (CTRL) before landing. This will enable you to slide and immediately perform the next move.
  7. Wall Latch - sticking to the wall. You can perform it next to a wall or an obstacle, by aiming (RMB). Warframe will hold to the wall and you will be able to shoot or perform a Bullet Jump from this position. You can also use Warframe skill.

Notes

  1. Bullet Jump, Double Jump, Roll - you can perform them once during a single combination.
  2. Aim Glide can be performed as a connection between other movements.
  3. In a single movement you can combine up to 3 movements.
  4. Bullet Jump creates a small Blast Procs - explosive damage.
  5. Performing any move doesn't stop weapon charging.
