This chapter discusses the experience system in Warframe - General Information | Experience | Warframe - Experience - Warframe Game Guide

This chapter discusses the experience system in Warframe. You will learn how experience is distributed, how to gain bonus experience, how much experience you need to reach the cap. Also, this chapter provides information on how your opponent's level affects experience you gain.

Experience gained in the game is called Affinity. It is collected not only by your Warframe, but also by your weapons, Archwing, Companions. You gain experience by killing opponents, hacking into terminals, completing mission objectives and challenges, for using Warframe abilities and finding Affinity Orbs. Each time your Warframe, or your weapon, gains the next level, you also receive a single point to mod capacity (or two, if you have Reactor or Orokin Catalyst installed). The higher the capacity of weapon and Warframe mods, the more modification options you have and, at the same time, the higher damage dealt. Indirectly, experience affects Master Rank - you receive 200 experience points to the Master Rank for each Warframe/Archwing/Companion level (this does not work after you install a form and start gaining experience from the very beginning) and 100 experience points per each level of your weapon. Once you have attained a new Master Rank level, you will be able to take a test and rank up (this can only be done once a day). Also, in the game, there are Affinity Boosters, which double experience you gain - for 40 platinum, you can buy a 3-day booster, for 80 - you can buy a 7-day booster, and for 200 - a 30-day one.

The number of experience points is distributed appropriately between your equipment and Warframe: 25% for the Warframe, 75% for the equipment (if, in addition to a weapon, all the experience is at the maximum level, then your weapon will get 75% of the experience). If you kill an opponent with Warframe abilities, then all points go to Warframe. If you use a weapon, half goes to Warframe and half to weapons. For just using your skills you will get as many points as you spend on energy. Hacking the terminals gives you about 50 points of experience. The Companions can also gather experience themselves - if they kill the opponent themselves, the whole experience goes for them. If they kill with skill, 100% of the experience is also due to them, but if they kill with a weapon - then the points are split in half (between his weapon and himself).

Killing unalarmed opponents activates the Stealth Kill Affinity Bonus. You can see this bonus on the left of your shield indicator - it will also show you the time you have left to continue the silent combination. By default, this bonus gives you 100% more experience for 30 seconds. Each additional silent killing increases the bonus by 100% to a maximum of 500%. It is worth noting that white weapons give twice as much experience for silent killings as distance weapons or skills. The bonus ends when you kill an alarmed opponent or are attacked by an opponent

To gain experience quickly, you should fight against low-level opponents. For example: an opponent with flame thrower, at the level of 100 gives you some 1213 exp. By killing such an opponent at level 3, you receive 623 exp. and, additionally, you will not have to worry that he will defeat you. It is much easier to farm experience on low-level opponents, than to go against the more demanding ones.
