Warframe is an advanced battle suit used by the Tenno. Warframes offer rechargeable shields, high mobility, and an individual set of special and passive abilities. Currently, Warframe offers 34 different Warframes and 20 Warframe Prime - upgraded versions of the armors.
A Warframe can reach 30 experience level. Moreover, each Warframe can receive an Orokin reactor, neurooptics, and Forma. To learn more about neurooptics, visit chapter "Focus 2.0". To learn more about the reactor and forma, visit "Weapon and character upgrades". To view Warframe statistics, visit "Warframe List".
How to acquire a Warframe
Buying Warframes on the market
There are two ways of acquiring a Warframe. The first method is to buy them in the shop (for real money - some Warframes can be acquired free of charge). Shop-bought Warframes come with an installed Orokin reactor. Orokin reactor unlocks additional spaces for modifications and upgrades. A Warframe bought in the shop also supplies a space for your new Warframe. At the beginning of the game, each player has 2 Warframe spaces - you need to buy additional slots if you want to increase the limit.
Crafting
Crafting is the second means to acquire a Warframe. During the game, you'll often receive various blueprints and Warframe parts. The method is time-consuming, requires a lot of effort and resources. Every Warframe is built from 4 parts: the Blueprint itself, chassis, systems, and neuroptics. Creating a Warframe takes 12 hours (the process can be speeded up through platinum). This method is recommended when attempting to own a Prime Warframe. Prime parts can be looted from relics, so you can acquire a Warframe completely for free, without investing real money into the game. Normal parts can be acquired by killing bosses or receive them during Survival and Defense missions.
