Your base is surrounded by a wall, which makes it that much easier to defend. Set up turrets near both entrances and in the southern part of the base. Enemy ground forces will be attacking both your flanks, while enemy fliers will come from the South.
You can enter the enemy base through this ramp, defended only by a single turret. the base itself will be scarcely defended, especially if the enemy attacked your base a moment ago. Begin with destroying enemy workers, the Nexus, and production buildings. Now, move your forces to deal with the second enemy base. The enemy there has Reavers so it would be best to deal with them from the air. Use a full squad of Scouts or 3-4 Carriers.
It's the only land route leading to the main base of the Red Protoss. An airdrop may be impossible due to numerous enemy fighters, carriers, and turrets in the area. It would be best to move by land, but keep air support on the other side of the river.
In the left lower corner of the map, you'll find a small enemy base, focused on acquiring minerals and gas. Taking it out, especially its mines, will significantly help you in competing the mission. Best to raze it all to the ground to cut off the enemy from resources and new units. A full squad of Carriers should be able to fly into the enemy base, take out the turrets and enemy Dragoons. Keep an additional squad of Scouts, along with an Observer, on standby to deal with enemy fliers, such as Arbiters (can immobilize your units).
It's the perfect position to send out Interceptors from your Carriers. Enemy land units will be unable to reach your forces. Keep the Scouts in the air to deal with a possible aerial counterattack.
Destruction of Stasis Cell will finish the mission. If there are no Arbiters in the area, a squad of Carriers should be able to take it out. Otherwise, you'll have to first breach the perimeter with your land forces, and have some of your units attack Stasis Cell directly.

Mission 8 - The Trial of Tassadar | Protoss | Campaign Walkthrough StarCraft: Remastered Guide

Last update: 27 September 2017

Starting Posiotion Your base is surrounded by a wall, which makes it that much easier to defend. Set up turrets near both entrances and in the southern part of the base. Enemy ground forces will be attacking both your flanks, while enemy fliers will come from the South.

Backdoor to the Purple Protoss Base You can enter the enemy base through this ramp, defended only by a single turret. the base itself will be scarcely defended, especially if the enemy attacked your base a moment ago. Begin with destroying enemy workers, the Nexus, and production buildings. Now, move your forces to deal with the second enemy base. The enemy there has Reavers so it would be best to deal with them from the air. Use a full squad of Scouts or 3-4 Carriers.

Western ramp to the prison complex It's the only land route leading to the main base of the Red Protoss. An airdrop may be impossible due to numerous enemy fighters, carriers, and turrets in the area. It would be best to move by land, but keep air support on the other side of the river.

Red Protoss mining base In the left lower corner of the map, you'll find a small enemy base, focused on acquiring minerals and gas.

The hill behind the prison complex It's the perfect position to send out Interceptors from your Carriers. Enemy land units will be unable to reach your forces. Keep the Scouts in the air to deal with a possible aerial counterattack.

Mission Objective - Stasis Cell Destruction of Stasis Cell will finish the mission. If there are no Arbiters in the area, a squad of Carriers should be able to take it out. Otherwise, you'll have to first breach the perimeter with your land forces, and have some of your units attack Stasis Cell directly.

Mission objectives:

  1. Destroy Stasis Cell
  2. Fenix and Raynor must survive

Tassadar has been captured and is imprisoned in the Stasis Cell. Zeratul and his people leave you, but Fenix insists on recapturing Tassadar. Jim Raynor, the hero from the Terran campaign, offers help.

The next battle with the Protoss will be very challenging if you don't utilize a couple gaps in enemy defenses. Your base is in the top-right corner, surrounded with a wall (1). Defending this place isn't very difficult if you have some turrets at both entrances and near mineral deposits. The red opponent likes to use aircraft and drop troops there. The purple has bases on both sides of the map, and often attacks with Reavers and infantry. A frontal assault on the base isn't easy, but there's a convenient way of neutralizing this tribe of the Protoss, if you manage to encircle them.

The Carriers - the most powerful aircraft the Protoss have will be the most important unit in this mission. - Mission 8 - The Trial of Tassadar | Protoss | Campaign Walkthrough - Protoss - StarCraft: Remastered Game Guide

Raynor will use his Battlecrusier, but you won't be able to repair it, so keep it as rearguard. You will get the penultimate Protoss unit in this mission - the powerful Carrier. It cannot attack itself, but it can produce smaller aircraft - Interceptors (max 4 units; 8 units if upgraded; 15 crystals each) - that attack enemies in the vicinity, or a designed target. The enemy's Arbiters will also have a new skill in this mission - Stasis Field. This allows them to block your units, rendering them incapable of attacking. Heavy units are most susceptible to this: Reavers and Carriers.

Destroy the Protoss base, attacking from the riverside where defense is the weakest. - Mission 8 - The Trial of Tassadar | Protoss | Campaign Walkthrough - Protoss - StarCraft: Remastered Game Guide
Destroy the Protoss base, attacking from the riverside where defense is the weakest.

Create 12 Zelots and Dragoons or 3 Carriers (optionally 6 Scouts) in order to destroy the purple Protoss. March along the center of the map until you encounter a few ramps that are leading to the river. Both bases are identical. Move your units up/down the river until you see the ramp and a single turret above it (2). Then you will see a Nexus and some industrial buildings. When you're done, proceed to attacking the other base. The attack with Carriers is safer, because the Purple is mostly using Zelots and Reavers. Besides, Carriers don't attack, so the only risk is losing the cheap Interceptors.

Destruction of the mining base will practically halt the production of hostile units after the depletion of their resources. Keep an eye on the Arbiters, who can stop your offensive. - Mission 8 - The Trial of Tassadar | Protoss | Campaign Walkthrough - Protoss - StarCraft: Remastered Game Guide
Destruction of the mining base will practically halt the production of hostile units after the depletion of their resources. Keep an eye on the Arbiters, who can stop your offensive.

The red base is split into two parts: industrial, among some ruins, with the Stasis Cell in the middle, and mining, in the bottom-left corner. You have a few options available: you can, for example, build a big, conventional, land force and ram into the base (3). You will need to walk around the river and approach from the western entrance. I recommend expanding the group of Carriers to 12 and supporting them with 12 Scouts. They will defend the Carriers and may take the Stasis Field on themselves. Arbiters will be the most pestering enemy. Remember to save your game before the attack! The Carriers are very expensive and take much time to be constructed. Use aircraft to attack the mining operations of the enemy, cutting off their supplies (4). Destroy subsequent turrets and Dragoons, and then focus on the Nexus. If you're having a hard time destroying the base, target the gas mine. Almost all Protoss units are strongly dependant on gas, so this will be a major blow to the enemy's economy. Now time for the main base - start by destroying production buildings (5). Then methodically destroy the base until you reach the Stasis Cell (6). You just have to destroy this building to win.
