Art Gallery
The gallery you need to go to is located in Old City. It's in the southern part of the location. Just go to the east of the market, and you will arrive at a magnificent building, which you will be able to enter.
When you get inside, you'll see a man. It's Vogel, the owner of the gallery. He'll tell you about an incident that happened in the basement.
You need to select the appropriate task (marked on the screenshot above) and go to the basement, in order to obtain evidence and reconstruct the events.
Shark
As soon as you enter the underground area, you will see a shark. It's tied to the ropes on the right side of the room. Examine it immediately. Jon will stay beside it, and he'll try to catch another sea animal with his fishing rod.
Coal
When you turn left, you'll see a coal pit. You need to inspect:
- the shovel,
- coal,
- the footprints.
Fabric
When you turn around, you'll see a bed and chains. In front of this "exhibit" is a bedspread, which you need to look at.
Coffin
When you move from the bed to the right, you will see an open coffin, with a human skeleton inside. Take a close look at:
- the handprints on the coffin,
- the skeleton,
- the raven.
Paintings
The first painting you need to examine is right next to the coffin. There's water coming out of the pipe and onto the painting. It's hard to miss - it is large, and additionally illuminated from below.
You'll find the next painting on the opposite side of the room. It is set on a stone hill, among many white candles.
Mushrooms
As you go on, take a look at the green, glowing mushrooms. That's one of the clues you need to investigate.
Burned paintings
In the next alcove you will see freshly burned paintings. Look closely and you'll see:
- a painting frame,
- a cigarette.
After examining the burnt items, use the concentration mode. This will help you see the next clues in this room.
Metal hatch
There's also a metal hatch near the coal you examined. Open it and see what's inside.
Reconstruction
Once you have all the evidence, you need to put it together. Start with the hatch. It should feature an unidentified person leaving the tunnel with a shovel.
Another person should be coming out of the coffin. Their hand that lifts the coffin lid is important.
Next, go to the location with the paintings. The same person takes them down and sets them on fire.
Finally, approach the stairs. The gallery owner is walking downstairs. He's hunched to avoid drawing attention to himself. Once all elements are set correctly, confirm the reconstruction.
Conversation with the owner
After the reconstruction, you should go upstairs. Vogel is waiting for the results of your investigation. Talk to him in any way you want; you'll eventually get a lead on the painter who created the paintings in the basement.
