Resident Evil 7: Resource Manager - Trophy/Achievement Guide

Chests are located in certain rooms with the save feature.

Requirement: Complete the game without opening the Item Box more than three times.

Comment: It's the hardest achievement in the game as you need to master the way of managing items in your inventory. In order to unlock this achievement, you must ignore all the chests that you come across (those that you use to keep unwanted items for later). Furthermore, you should only collect items that are essential to survive. You may not leave your items on the ground, as when you decide to throw away an item, it will be destroyed for good.

Tip - Try to find all the backpacks in the game ("In the Bag" achievement) so that you'll increase the size of your inventory and managing things won't be so tricky.

Interact with the box for the last (third) time when you get to the hut in the swamps

A VERY IMPORTANT information is that you can't use the item box unless the game requires it to progress in the main story. This occurs exactly three times during the course of the game (twice when you're dealing with Lucas and his elaborate traps and once after leaving the ship and reaching a small hut in the swamps). In each of these situations interact with the container only once, because the game counts every interaction with it.

Remember - If you are not sure how many times you have opened a chest, pause your game and open the statistics window.
