Ada Wong - Leon | Sewers in Resident Evil 2 Resident Evil 2 Guide and Walkthrough

You need to complete Ada Wong's short episode first before you get the chance to explore the sewers freely as Leon S. Kennedy (if you play as Claire, you will switch over to Sherry). Ada carries a special hacking device which will allow you to solve the next few puzzles and open locked doors.

A long barrel - a shotgun upgrade found in the weapon shop.

After escaping from the police parking garage, Leon and Ada head to a weapon shop. A shotgun upgrade (long barrel) is on one of the shelves. Note: if you install this upgrade, the shotgun will require two inventory slots.

The crocodile in the sewers.

Later, you will go down to the sewers. Keep moving forward until you come across an enormous crocodile. To run away, stick to the left side of the sewer, then go move to the right wall and lastly run in the middle of the sewer. Shortly after that, you have to make a sharp turn to the left. When Leon falls down, shoot the pipe - the monster will get stuck.

Use Ada's hacking device to activate switches.

You now play as Ada Wong. This episode is short so don't focus on collecting items. Ada has a special hacking device. Aim it at a wall and you will be able to see cables connected with devices and switches. Use the device to find (by following the cables in a wall) a power switch. After that, hold the shoot button (while aiming) at the fan to destroy it. Go up the ladder. Do the same with another fan.

Find the switch in the next room. Hack it to switch the power flow.

The next hacking console is at the back of the room, near yellow bars. Watch out, that room contains a zombie. Go to the next room and open another door. The Tyrant will appear. Quickly open the next passage (use the hacking device to find the right switch, transmitter, and destroy another fan).

Reach the stairs and use the lever on the panel. This opens a small trap door - go inside and take the wristband from the corpse. You are trapped. You have one minute to solve this puzzle:

1. Activate the switch near the corpse with the wristband,
2. Deactivate the left blockade on the door,
3. Activate the switch on the left wall,
4. Deactivate the right blockade,
5. Activate the switch on the right wall,
6. Deactivate the middle blockade.
