Power Reserve - each successive level increases the number of your Carrier's energy points, appropriate for the level (at level 3, you receive 3 points), but not more than 5. Starting with level 6, you receive the Cruise Missile Silo.

Fleet Capacity - increases limit of units that can be produced by 20 a tier, up to the cap of 125. Already at the beginning, unlock two tiers and develop this technology gradually, until the end of the game.

Production Cruiser - Refinery Mode - allows you to use Production Cruisers as resource collection point. Compulsory at the very beginning of the game.

Sandskimmer Raiding - increases max speed of Sandskimmers by 33%. It is a good idea to buy it, not necessarily at the very beginning of the game.

Sandskimmer Damage - each tier increases Sandskimmers' firepower by 2.

Sandskimmer Armor - each tier increases Sandskimmers' armor by 2.

Missile Ship - Direct Fire Barrage - speeds up cooldown rate of mortar attack (Direct Fire Barrage) that those ships are armed with, by 50% . If you have such vehicles, you can try out this upgrade. Still, this is not recommended if you are short of supplies.

Missile Ship - Radar Guided Missiles - improves accuracy of attack against aircraft. This one is a cheap upgrade and you can afford it.

Armored Unit Defenses - increases armor and, at higher tiers, health of Assault Ships and Missile Ships. If there are many Assault Ships in your army, this one is compulsory.

Assault Railgun - Dart Maneuver - provides you with an option to speed the movement speed of units. Not too useful for this type of units.

Railgun Armor - they increase armor and health points in Assault Railguns and Heavy Railguns. It is a good idea to buy it soon after you gain access to these vehicles.

Heavy Railgun - Ranged Calibration - increases accuracy and range of by 33%, but it decreases speed by 66%. You should give buying this upgrade a consideration. If you use many of such units, they can slow down the entire army.

Heavy Railgun - EMP Rounds - provides shots with EMP effect and paralyzes the unit it hits. Obtain this upgrade to make the most of your Heavy Railguns.

Siege Cruiser - Range Upgrade - increases range of attack of all weapons that Siege Cruiser is armed with. You should buy this upgrade right after you gain access to these units.

Siege Cruiser - EMP Shell - unlocks the special ability to fire an EMP pulse that temporarily immobilizes enemy units within blast radius. This is one of the best abilities in the game, which is why you should buy it and use it as often as possible.

Honorguard Cruiser - Anti-Air - unlocks the ability to shoot down airborne units. However, it is necessary that you switch the unit into this mode and remain in it for the next 25 seconds. This upgrade is costly and inarguably, it is better to invest into additional Missile Ships.

Interceptor - Afterburner - increases maximum speed of Interceptors by 60%. You should absolutely buy it.

Bomber - Ammo Capacity - increases bomb capacity of bombers from 2 to 4 per unit. The only situation in which you might not want to buy this upgrade is when you do not use this type of units.

Aircraft - Recharge Upgrade - decreases cooldown of plane attack by 50%. If you use aircraft, you should buy this upgrade, not necessarily at the beginning of the game.
