Hitman is a title with quite reasonable official system requirements, but the framerate can drop in some situations, for example when you are moving quickly through the map or when you decide to enter a room with large number of NPCs. This happens both in PC and console versions of the game. Very long loading times (also after loading a saved game) are pretty troublesome as well, but this can be partially solved by using a fast SSD drive.
This guide was created based on the PlayStation 4 version of the game. What's interesting, in this version of the game the player can select whether the framerate should be locked or not. Since the animation speed can dynamically change, it is better to select it to be locked and have the game most of the time in constant 30 frames per second. Sadly, there are times when the number of frames drop below that level, but it doesn't happen for long and doesn't cause high discomfort.

Important - the game can be played in two modes - offline and online. These modes are independent from each other. This means that, for example, if you start a mission in offline mode, you must also finish it in offline mode. It is best to play the game in online mode as otherwise you won't have access to challenges. However, online mode requires constant internet connections and every loses of connection might end the mission prematurely and take you back to the main menu.
