Ikrans are formidable, flying reptiles used by the Na'vi to swiftly move across Pandora. After reuniting with his kin, the protagonist of Avatar Frontiers of Pandora also gains access to a sky mount. When do you get Ikran in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora?
You'll unlock access to Ikran as part of the main story, a few hours after starting the game. During the Take Flight quest, you'll be sent to the top of The Boundless Range, where the reptiles live. Eetu, who accompanies you, will show you the ritual of acquiring a mount, which is based on gaining Ikran's trust. You'll encounter the distrustful creature multiple times during the climb.
There's a chance that before receiving your own Ikran, you'll come across wild grazing animals or the mounts of other Na'vi. However, don't try to chase them, as these creatures won't let you get close.

Ikran customization
After gaining the mount's favor, you'll be able to customize your Ikran. The game will ask you to choose one of several predefined names and colors.
The game offers a choice of only a few predefined names for Ikran. From now on, your character will directly address his steed by its name, which is quite interesting.
Over time, you'll receive access to further mods. Your pet can wear different types of accessories. However, these changes are purely cosmetic and don't affect Ikran's behavior or stats.
Flying on Ikran
You'll now be able to call Ikran at almost any time using the correct button. While flying, you can force your mount to accelerate. However, its use is limited by the stamina bar. Exhaustion will temporarily limit the mobility of the creature.
Like your protagonist, Ikran needs to eat to recharge his lost energy. Semi-finished products found on Pandora, such as meat or fruit, will replenish the animal's energy and allow you to continue flying.
Air combat and rider skills tree
While flying on Ikran, your character can fight. This feature will prove useful during air combat with helicopters or when attacking enemy outposts from above.
Obtaining your own mount will also unlock a new skill tree for you. Within the rider skills, you'll discover a variety of additional maneuvers and mods that will increase your potential in the air. We suggest looking into them if you intend to participate in air fights often.
New and inaccessible areas
The ability to fly will definitely improve your mobility, but keep in mind that a mount won't take you everywhere. After unlocking a new region on the map, your winged companion won't be able to be called in the new area, at least not immediately.
