Budding Watchers are huge plants hiding unique potions that you will encounter in the Cloud Forest. On this page of the guide we described where to find them and how to open them.

Budding Watchers are one of the collectibles/activities from Clouded Forest, the third and final main region of the game. They take the form of huge plants with Remedies hidden inside them which are special food that replenishes your Energy fully and provide unique effects. Scavenged Budding Watchers can be revisited - the Remedies inside get renewed after some time, which means you can farm them to get a constant source of high-quality food. For the purpose of Mushroom Navigator trophy, you need to harvest 10 Remedies. How to open Budding Watchers?

To begin with - around each Budding Watcher, there are 4 smaller, but similar plants. To open the large Watcher and receive access to the Remedy inside, you need to interact with all 4 of the smaller plants.
To find each of the smaller plants, follow the mushroom trails. From each large Watcher, there are 4 white mushroom trails coming out that lead to smaller plants. After interacting with the plants, crawl underneath the large plant and get the Remedy out of the basket. Remember that in order to pick up the Remedy, you need to have free space in your inventory - if your Pouch is full, you'll have to remove or eat a unit of food.

Location: On the border of Stone Cloud Valley and Cascading Stones, north of the Resistance Hideout.

Location: Cascading Stones, atop the Grasping Mountain, east of The Hollows and Kame'tire Clan Hometree.

Location: Stone Cloud Valley, just north of The Hollows, and Kame'tire Clan Hometree.

Budding Watcher #4

Location: The Cut, south of The Hollows and Kame'tire Clan Hometree.

Budding Watcher #5

Location: Cradling Pines, west of Toruk Peak (Upper Plains), right north-east from Drill Outpost Alpha. Warning - this is also the prowling ground of White Moss Forest Thanator, a very dangerous level 20 predator. If the edges of the screen become covered in white mist and you cannot use your Na'vi Senses, it means that Thanator is about to attack and will appear in a few moments. Prepare for battle or run away if you're not up for the fight.

Location: Cradling Pines, by the Stone Sentinels, right west from Drill Outpost Alpha.

Location: The Cut, southern part of Clouded Forest near the border with Kinglor Forest.
