In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, there are dozens of useful skills divided between 4 different trees. On this page of our guide, we list best skills from Hunter, Maker, Warrior, and Survivor trees. Moreover, we explain how to obtain skill points required for the purchases.

How to unlock skill trees?

1. Skills tab is unlocked during the course of Welcome to the Resistance story quest, but first skill purchases can be made during another quest - Songs of the Ancestor.
2. During the course of this quest, you receive two initial skill points. You can obtain further skill points thanks to completing story and side quests, and finding Tarsyu Saplings and Tarsyu Flowers (example in the screenshot).
3. Each skill costs between 1 and 4 skill points. If the skill tree has this requirement, you must additionally unlock all previous skills from the given branch.

Survivor Tree

1. Vitality - This is the first skill from the tree and has more than one level. Each level purchased extends the health bar permanently, which means your chances of survival increase.
2. Larger Healing Pouch - This skill has 2 levels. Every purchased level increases the capacity of Healing Pouch by 1, which means you can carry more medkits and have more means of healing before it is time to replenish supplies.
3. Vigor - Has several levels. WIth each level, your Energy bar increases in capacity, which can in turn be spent e.g. for passive healing.

Warrior Tree

1. Strength - The first skill from the tree with additional levels. Each level purchased increases your base damage. This will help you in fighting opponents.
2. Longbow Expert/Heavy Bow Expert - you can buy only one of these or both. Each increases bow damage but for different types of bows.
3. Extra Ammo - A good choice if you are fond of ranged weapons. You'll be able to carry more ammo, be it arrows, spears or firearm bullets.
4. Well Prepared - This skill is especially useful in later stages of the game. With it, you can assign a fourth weapon to the weapon wheel, which means having 1 more at the ready.

Hunter Tree

1. Shadow Hunter - This is the first and also the cheapest skill in the tree that significantly improves sneaking. From now on, your hero will move faster in crouched stance and be harder to detect.
2. Expert Hunter/Damage Bonus - Weak Spots - Both of these skills grant damage bonuses to attacks targeting weak spots. For this tactic to work, you need to sneak a lot and use Na'vi Senses to locate these weak areas.
3. Bountiful Hunter - With this skill, you'll receive x2 of looted food. Thanks to this, you can replenish your food supplies much easier.
4. Assassin Stalker - With this skill, you receive damage bonus to stealth attack chains. No more than 10 seconds can pass between each attack, so it's worth targeting enemies standing close to each other.
5. Silent Destroyer - This is one of the most expensive skills in the tree, but allows stealth attacks aimed at weak points kill enemies. This can be very useful, especially when fighting enemy mechs.

Maker Tree

1. Skifful Gatherer - This skill allows looting x2 more food from Gathering activities. Choose it if you regularly obtain food from Gathering.
2. Sturdy Arrows - With this skill active, you can retrieve arrows, which means running out of them less often.
3. Expert Ammunition Crafter - This skill allows crafting x2 more ammo based on Crafting ability while maintaining the same price for them. Buy it if you use ranged weapons with harder to get ammunition.
4. Serious Artisan - For this, you need to spend 3 skill points, but with it bought, vendors around the world of the game will offer the most unique reagents. Having this may help in more advanced crafting projects.
