In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you can change your appearance anytime while in the course of the campaign, even after leaving the character creator. In our guide, we show where to look for Changing Places which are locations made exactly for this, and how to use them to modify the protagonist's appearance. Additionally, you'll learn how to unlock Cosmetics that add new appearance options.
Changing the appearance mid-game
- You'll get acquainted with the character creation wizard already in the prologue, as you need to create your own custom Na'vi to be used during the course of the campaign. We describe the available options on this screen in Character Creator page of the Basics chapter.
- Exiting the creator at that moment doesn't mean you are locked with one appearance for the entire campaign. Fortunately, you can make adjustments even during the game.
- For this, you need to visit a location with Changing Place - to learn whether one is available in the given settlement, consult the description of the location. An exemplary Changing Room can be found in the Aranahe Hometree in Silk Woods, which is visited in The Aranahe Clan story quest.
Changing Place options
- To be able to change your appearance, you need to visit a Changing Place - exemplary is shown in the screenshot.
After interacting with a Changing Place, you receive full access to the following customization options. They are:
- Face;
- Hair;
- Skin;
- Bodypaint;
- Voice;
- Body Type
This means that you have a freedom of choice similar to one encountered in the character creation wizard, including changing the Body Type.
Cosmetics
You can keep to the options presented in the wizard, or additionally obtain new Cosmetics, e.g. new hairstyles or bodypaints. Cosmetic items can be:
- Purchased in the game store - you need to spend special currency received from spending real money or completing certain in-game challenges.
- Received as rewards - these may be rewarded for e.g. completing quests or delivering requested items to Community Basket. Message that you unlocked a new cosmetic item appears in the bottom right corner of the screen (example in the screenshot).
