As Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora story progresses, you'll receive access to a quite diverse arsenal of weapons. On this page of our guide, we provide a list of all usable weapons - including armament unique to both Na'vi and RDA factions, each of which received a separate section. Additionally, we show ways of obtaining new weapons and how to unlock the 4th active slot in the weapon wheel.
Na'vi Weapons
- Na'vi weapons of choice are different types of bows - Longbows, Shortbows, and Heavy Bows. Each is recommended for different situations and involves a different playstyle. For example, shortbow is used for firing lots of arrows on short range, while Heavy Bow is especially useful when needing to fire a single powerful projectile at an enemy far away. Additionally, Bows can use different types of arrows, e.g. explosive arrows.
- Other Na'vi weapons include spears and Staff Slings - the latter can be used to place Trip Grenades which are traps that explode when tripped by opponents. It is best to place them during infiltration or preparation phase.
RDA Weapons
- RDA's arsenal mostly feature different types of firearms. Among others, there are various variants of Assault Rifles, Shotguns, and Rocket Launchers. Some of the weapons can be loaded with unique ammunition, such as armor-piercing rounds.
- Additionally, RDA soldiers are armed with Stun Grenades which when obtained can be used against them, e.g. to sabotage enemy mechs or exoskeletons.
Unlocking and using weapons
- New weapons are slowly introduced during the course of the main story. For example, a new weapon may be collected from a container that also carried a quest item, or an NPC may reward you with one.
- Additionally, you can install Mods on weapons to improve their chosen statistics, as well as buy or find Designs that allow crafting upgraded versions of weapons (e.g. a more powerful bow with the ability to fire poison arrows).
- By default, you can have up to 3 active weapons on the weapon wheel. The 4th weapon slot can be unlocked by acquiring Well Prepared perk from Warrior skill tree. To get it, you need to spend 2 skill points. We recommend having a good all-round setup of weapons, such as a firearm, Staff Sling and 2 types of bows for different situations.
