Basic scan
Character scanning is a mechanic implemented in Watch Dogs Legion that allows you to get acquainted with a given character. Based on this information, you will be able to determine whether a person will be useful in your team.
After scanning the character, you will receive information such as the name of the character, his profession, characteristics, and unique equipment that he potentially has. You will also learn how the character feels about DedSec. Each character has a different set of these features (often they also differ in their number), so regularly scan the characters you pass to select the best possible potential recruits.
You don't have to recruit characters right away. If you get close to a character, then in addition to initiating the process, there is also an option to remember the recruit. Then they appear on the team's list, as a potential member. Thanks to this, you can join your team at any time.
Detailed scan
At the moment when the character is negatively disposed to DedSec, you need to buy points for the technology of detailed scanning. With it, you will be able to know the schedule of the day of the character and determine what actions will improve your relationship with the character and ultimately lead to unlocking the recruitment mission.
