Hide and infiltrate

Watch Dogs Legion can be played in many ways, however, stealth is one of the better choices. In many cases, you can complete the mission without even using characters, only gadgets. Hack cameras to get a better view of the area. Use traps to get rid of enemies easier. Use devices like Spiderbot to infiltrate, hack, retrieve data, or get important items.

Watch out for the captains

In Watch Dogs Legion, there is a certain enemy type called the captain. Captains can call for reinforcements when alerted by other enemies, or when they see the player character. When entering a restricted area, look for the captains and eliminate them first, or try to avoid them at all costs.

Clothes matter

It is worth noting that some characters have access to restricted areas (locations marked in red on the map). These are, for example, construction workers who can easily enter a construction site, police officers who can enter a police station, or even doctors who can freely enter a hospital... It all depends on the clothes, so if you plan to enter the restricted area, try to see in advance what type of place you are about to infiltrate. Perhaps you have a character with similar clothes, which will help you much easier to enter that place. However, you should remember to avoid performing suspicious actions and not to get too close to enemies – you will be easily detected. To put on a uniform, use the radial menu for skill selection, and select equip uniform.

Use Spiderbot frequently

Spiderbot is a gadget that you can access at the very beginning of the game. It is an important tool because in some cases access to collectibles or Tech Points is severely limited. Only Spiderbot can get there. In addition, it can pick up various objects necessary for completing a given goal, retrieve data, and even unlock access to the door. Spiderbot is small, which makes it difficult to detect. You can upgrade it to make the Spiderbot do more jumps, which will allow you to move around much easier and get to hard-to-reach places.

Try to fight with as few enemies as possible

This is very important – fight with enemies using your fists or melee weapons to avoid alarming the area and starting an open conflict. However, if you are surrounded by more than 3 opponents, and you do not defeat them fast, they can draw their weapons and start shooting at you. Therefore, when you start fighting, try to fight 1 on 1, or 2 on 1.

Practice dodging at the right time

Speaking of melee combat, dodges are one of its most important mechanics. Time slows down for a moment when you perform a perfect dodge – this makes the opponent defenseless for a short while. Use this opportunity to counterattack. The key to winning hand-to-hand fights is to practice dodging and doing them at the right time.

Explore the game world and collect Tech Points

Tech Points are mainly useful for upgrading and unlocking things such as new weapons or gadgets, and improvements for hacking. You earn Tech Points for completing missions. However, you can get them faster by visiting individual districts. Tech Points can be found on the map – they are marked with a green rhombus icon.

Combat Spiderbot can be used while escaping

Spiderbots in Watch Dogs Legion have several types, some are better at infiltration, the other in combat. Combat Spiderbot belongs to the latter category. If you want to escape from a given place and you are chased by opponents, place a Combat Spiderbot on the roof of the car you are driving – it will fire at nearby enemies. You can do a similar trick with a Cargo Drone. Put a Spiderbot on a Cargo Drone, fly to a restricted area, and attack from the air.
