Why do some chests have a timer in Warhammer Martyr? Warhammer Inquisitor - Martyr Guide

Chests are scattered all over the game world, inside, you can find many useful items e.g. new weapons or Caligari Credits. You can open most of them without any problems and take everything that you need. Nonetheless, there are some chests which cannot be opened so easily. They are easily distinguishable from the basic chests, so you shouldn't have any difficulties recognizing them. They are guarded by a Champion. When you come close to it, a timer will appear along with a guard.

If you want to get inside the chest, you have to slay the guard before the timer reaches zero. In other case, you won't be able to access the contents of the chest. Killing the guardian may prove to be difficult if you are engaged in a larger fight at the same time. It's even possible that the guardian will remain unnoticed. Hence, try not to approach these types of chests while engaged in battle. Otherwise, you can lose out on the goodies inside.
