For every successful mission, you will receive ranking points. Their amount depends upon the number of enemies and the difficulty level. The mission panel gives information on how many points you will be granted for completing a particular mission.

The number of accumulated points determines your Inquisitor's rank. After acquiring a particular number of points you get promoted to a higher rank. Then, you will also receive additional funds and an extra skill point. However, you rank has also a more important feature.

It mirrors the attitude of the Conclave towards your character. The higher your ranks the better you are treated by NPCs. Thanks to this you gain access to better equipment at the merchant and unlock new areas in the Caligari Sector.

The Inquisitors ranks is a reflection of the achievements you have made in the game. The higher the rank of your Inquisitor the more respect they get from others.
