Walkthrough
Together with the unit that accompanied you in the previous mission, you will need to reach Caius Thorn and the other members of his unit. You won't encounter any opponents on the way.
After meeting the unit, you will be briefed on the current situation. Your task will be to repel successive waves of enemies attacking the outpost held by the unit. Your task will be to protect the generator and keep Caius Thorn alive. While the generator will not be a problem, ensuring the survival of Caius Thorn can be a challenge.
It is also worth noting the cogitator standing near the generator, it contains evidence used in two investigations.
The whole attack is divided into three waves, each of which gradually increases the number of enemies and their firepower. The quest tab will inform you how many enemies are left to be dealt with in the current wave.
Because Caius Thorn loves to be in the thick of the enemy force, you will find him constantly under attack. This means that you need to constantly watch him and repel attacks that are launched in his direction. Otherwise, Caius will die and you will have to repeat the whole task from the beginning.
After all three waves have been completed, you will have to disable the teleport lock. However, to reach it you need to break through two more rooms. The first one features a battle with the Chaos Cultists. In the second one, you will face a Chaos Machine. It is a powerful armored unit, extremely resistant to attacks. It will be accompanied by more Chaos Cultists. Due to the significant damage the Machine can deal, you should focus your attacks on it. Distance is very important in this case. Keep your Inquisitor moving and at a safe distance.
After the battle is over, approach the cogitor located at the end of the room. Interacting with it will disable the lock and the quest will be completed.
