Valorant: Nick change - how to do it? Valorant guide, tips
Last update: 10 June 2020
In this chapter of our guide to Valorant you can find out how to change the nick assigned to your Riot account, which appears in all games assigned to a particular Riot Account.
Some time ago Riot Games started to change the names of Summoners (nicknames) in League of Legends to those that are being used by Riot IDs. After the release of other games such as Legends of Runeterra and Valorant, the player didn't have to create an additional account with a different name (Nick) but could use the already owned Riot ID. Importantly, the Riot ID is not the same thing as your account name, but a name that will be displayed in the game, unlike the Riot account username.
How can I change my nick in Valorant?
In order to change a nickname in Valorant you need to change your settings in the Riot Games general account. In the settings of this account players can find their profiles used by all Riot Games, including League of Legends and Legends of Runeterra. This also concerns games that will be released in the future. If you want to change your nickname in Valorant, follow the following steps.
- Visit the official Riot Games website and log into your account;
- If you haven't been transferred to the settings window, click on the menu in the top right corner and select the settings option;
- Then proceed to the "Riot ID" tab;
- Here you can click on the pencil icon and change your nickname in Valorant as well as in any other game connected to your Riot Games account;
It is worth knowing that you can change a nickname in the games connected with your Riot Games account only once within 30 days.
