Unlike the other maps available in Valorant, Haven has 3 Spike planting sites. Therefore, the attacking team has much more opportunities to win the round.

Haven point A - important locations for defenders

If you play the role of a defender at point A on the map of Haven, then it is best to take a position that allows you to observe the site from many angles and provide protection or quick access to any other point. Here are some of the best defensive locations on the map of Haven at the Spike Planting Point A.

A Long

A Long is the first important place for defenders on the Haven map, which leads to Spike planting area. An attacking team may appear in the A Lobby and assault this position or move to A Short.

In the picture above, you can see a character who stands in point A Long and looks in the direction of A Lobby, where a potential opponent may appear. In case of danger, the Player may hide behind the bricks visible on the left side or retreat to point A.

A Tower (Heaven)

A Tower (Heaven) is the best vantage point for snipers. From here, you can successfully defend the entire Spike planting site, but you are vulnerable to attacks from the direction of stairs leading to the tower. It is also worth remembering that if the attacker has Sage in the team, she most probably will obscure the visibility from the window by using the Barrier Orb.

The screenshot above shows a character standing at A Tower (Heaven). From here this player can observe two passages: A Long and A Short. What's more, by moving to the left side and standing in the corner, player will be able to check what's happening on the right side of the tower. There are some stairs leading to A Tower spot, which can be used by the opponent to sneak behind your back and perform a surprise attack.

Haven point A- important locations for attackers

The attacking team that wants to enter Spike A planting point (on the Haven map) has two main roads to choose from: A Long and A Short. Each action or tactical operation associated with Point A will require good organization and the use of supporting skills (crowd control), such as blinding abilities, smoke screens or obscuring walls. When attacking, it is important to keep in mind that players defending access to Point A are already well positioned and can aim in the direction from which the opponent may arrive.

A Lobby

A Lobby is one of the most important locations for the attacking team from where they can get to Spike A planting site. There are 3 exits from this small room: one leading to the attacking team's spawning point, the other leading to the A Long and the third one that leads to A Short.

As you pass through A Lobby area, pay special attention to opponents who may have taken a convenient shooting position in the further part of A Long - in the spot where the character in the above picture. If you want to move to A Short, you should obscure the visibility from the right or use a blinding ability.

A Short

A Short is one of the main passages that the attacking team can use to get to Spike A planting site. If you are entering point A from this side it's worth remembering some important things - enemies can be lurking on crates, hide behind the crates in the middle, patrol the area with A Tower (Heaven) and hide at A Long.

If you are attacking point A from A Short, make sure the corridor is clear and use additional blinding or dazzling skills when entering the open area. If there is a Jett, Raze or Sage on the opposing team they can take up position on the crates and attack from a height. It's also worth to obscure the visibility of the defender, who certainly took the point at the A Tower (Heaven).

A Long

A Long is another road leading to Spike A planting site located at the Haven map. In contrast to the previously described road leading from the A Short side, it provides attackers with a little more space and freedom. A Tower (Heaven) and A Site are well visible and it's easy to hinder the visibility from these points.

If you are attacking point A from the side of A Long you should pay special attention to the window located at A Tower - this is the best shooting position of defenders. If you have Sage on your team, then obscure the visibility from the window with a solid wall of ice. Smoke screens and blinding skills will also be useful. When entering point A, keep in mind that the opponents can hide in the recesses on the right and left as well as stand on crates.

If you have Cypher on the team and you want to attack A Long you can use a very simple trick with the Spycam skill. Standing in front of the A Lobby you can climb on the flowerbed and then jump up and attach the camera on one of the branches. After switching to the camera view, you can check whether the opponents have taken a defensive position at A Long.

Haven Point B - important locations for defenders

When playing the role of a defender at point B on the map of Haven, it is best to take a position that allows you to observe the site from many angles (or directions) and provide protection or ability to move to another point. Below we have described some of the best defensive spots available on the Haven map at Spike B planting site.

B Site

B Site is a popular position for players defending access to Spike B's planting site. This area provides players with solid protection and allows them to react quickly when a potential opponent appears in the Mid Window or arrives from the Mid Doors.

In the picture above you can notice an example position at B Site that provides a good view of Mid Window - one of the most popular ways to attack B Site. Depending on whether the player is standing to the right or left of the B Site, they can also observe the road leading from Mid Doors. Sometimes characters like Sage, Jett or Raze can use their skills to take up a position on the crates in the middle of point B and from there observe the area.

If there is Cypher among the ranks of defensive team it is worth to use his Spycam skill and mount the spy camera on the wall at point B Back. If you want to attach the camera at the right height, you'll have to jump up. After switching to the camera view, you can watch the Mid Window and move from the Mid Doors side while remaining in a safe spot.

Haven Point B - important locations for attackers

The attacking team that wants to enter the Spike B planting site located at the Haven map has two main roads to choose from: The Mid Window and the Mid Doors. Each action or tactical operation associated with Point B will require good organization and the use of a few supporting skills, such as blinding abilities, smoke screens or obscuring walls. During the attack, it is important to keep in mind that the players defending access to point B are already well positioned and can be aiming in the direction from which the opponent may arrive.

Mid Doors

Mid Doors is one of the paths that can be used by attacking team if they want to get to Point B or go to Point C. The door leading to C Short (Garage) are armored and must be broken down before they can be shot through. This is where defenders can often come out to surprise their opponents, but in most cases they usually block this path by casting abilities that slow down characters or use skills which can obscure visibility.

If you are attacking Point B from the Mid Doors, you should first pay attention to what is happening at the door leading to C Short (Garage). If they are blocked, the opponent will most probably not decide to enter the open area and you can safely move to point B. Important note! The defending team usually leaves one player in the C Window from where he is monitoring the area towards Mid Doors.

Mid Window

Mid Window is another road leading to Spike B planting site on the Haven map and probably the most popular one. From here player has a very good view of the B Point, but also exposes himself to the attack. Therefore, using this this position rewards the bravest players. If an attacker succeeds in eliminating a target at point B it usually opens the path to Spike planting site.

The picture above shows an example position at a Mid Window area. From this point you can observe not only the B Site, but also the door leading to the C Short (Garage). Visibility from Mid Window is usually obscured so the player has little time to shoot.

Haven Point C - important locations for defenders

When playing the role of a defender at point C on the Haven map, it is best to take a position that allows you to observe the site from many angles and provide protection or allows you to move to another spot if necessary. Below you will find some of the best defensive locations available on the Haven map near the Spike C planting point.

C Window

C Window allows players of the defending team to keep an eye on the armored doors leading to Mid Doors and towards the Mid Window. Sometimes a careless opponent can be shot between the doors, but usually the visibility from this point is obscured by one of the defensive skills.

In the picture above you can notice an example position taken at C Window where player has a good view of Mid Doors. Armored doors protect players from being shot, but only until they are destroyed (then they lose their outer layer). From here you can quickly move to points B and C.

If you play as Cypher, you can use the Spycam to keep an eye on the C Short, and move to another point on the map on your own. Stand on the second step of the platform leading to the window, jump up and mount the camera in the spot marked in the picture above. When you switch to camera view, you'll have a great view of what's going on behind the armored door.

C Site

C Site is the third Spike planting site on the Haven map. Two main roads lead to this point: C Short (Garage) and C Long. C Site can be protected by one good defensive character like Sage or Cypher.

In the picture above you can see a guy who has taken an example position at the C Site. He used a metal platform to ensure himself some additional protection and is aiming at the direction of C Long. On the left side there are crates that protect the player against an attack from C Short (Garage) side.

If Cypher is on the defensive team, use his Spycam skill to observe point C from a safe distance and focus on defending other points. To mount the camera you see in the screenshot presented above, you will have to jump up. When you switch to the camera view, you can observe C Long and the passage from C Short. By setting up a Trapwire and Cyber Cage, Cypher may retreat to another defensive position and will be informed immediately if the point C has been attacked. If you decide to use this type of tactics, remember to check the view of the Spycam frequently.

Haven Point C - important locations for attackers

The attacking team that wants to enter the Spike C planting site located on the Haven map has two main roads to choose from: C Short (Garage) and C Long. Each assault on C Point will require good organization and the use of a few supporting skills, such as walls obscuring visibility, smoke screens or blinding skills. If you are attacking, you should be aware of the fact that the players defending access to point C are already well positioned and are aiming in the direction from which the opponent may come.

C Short (Garage)

C Short (Garage) is one of the ways that can be used by the attacking team if they want to get to C point. Unfortunately, using this road exposes players to attack from the C Window so it is worth to obscure the visibility from this point. C Short is a tight room where it's easy to trap enemies so you have to watch out for skills that limit your character's control.

During the attack on point C from C Short you should first pay attention to whether someone is lurking inside, right behind the door and near C Window. Then check the C Site position through the corridor on the left. Blinding abilities and any kind of smoke screen or area damage skills will be extremely useful when attacking point C.

C Long

C Long is another road that leads to Spike C planting site on the Haven map. Attacking players have more space here, because there is a recess on the left side and a second one in the middle of the passageway on the right side. Unfortunately, players defending access to point C usually observe the entire length of C Long from a sniper rifle, so their visibility should be obscured in order to hinder their aiming.

If you are attacking from the side of C Long, then remember to check whether there aren't any opponents lurking behind the crates visible in the picture above or to the left of the metal platform. These are two extremely popular positions for snipers, which should be obscured with one of the skills, such as Brimstone's smoke grenades. While entering point C from C Long, pay attention to the opponents standing on the right (C Short) and from the side of C Link.

If there is Cypher in the attacking team, then it is worth to use his spy gadgets during the attempt to attack point C. Attach the Spycam at the point visible in the picture above and check if there are any opponents waiting for you at point C.
