In this section of our Valorant guide we discuss all characteristics and features of Jett along with some valuable tips that may be useful during the game.
Jett is an extremely fast and agile character. During combat Jett is extremely mobile and can surprise all enemies, perform swift strikes and immediately disappear from their field of view. Jett's first skill is called Cloudburst - instantly throws a projectile that expands into a brief vision cloud on impact with a surface. Jett's other abilities are Updraft and Tailwind. These skills allow Jett to reach higher ledges or objects (like lots of crates) and quickly strafe to sides. Jett's Ultimate skill is Blade Storm - heroine throws extremely accurate and deadly knives.
Jett is an excellent choice for all those who appreciate mobility in FPS games. Jett doesn't have any crowd control skills except a smoke screen (Cloudburst). However, with Updraft and Tailwind skills, Jett can fly straight through Valorant maps, carry out rapid diversionary attacks and bring chaos to the ranks of the enemy.
Cloudburst
Jett immediately (at the moment of skill activation, without any delay) throw a projectile that activates upon contact with the surface and creates a cloud that blocks the field of view of all characters. By using this skill, you can, for example, block visibility in a narrow passage or a window.
It should be noted here that by holding down the Cloudburst skill button you can decide in which direction to turn the projectile. If you choose this option the projectile will fly in the direction indicated by your crosshair. Thanks to this solution you are able to react quickly, for example, to a sniper who has just revealed his position in the window on the left or right of your current position. In such a situation, you can launch a twisted projectile, block his vision and evacuate from a dangerous position.
In Patch 1.0, which was introduced to Valorant on the day of its release, the Cloudburst ability was improved and the smoke effect floats over a specific area for 7 seconds (previous version has only lasted for 4 seconds). This change has made Jett a more team-oriented character.
Updraft
Updraft is a simple ability, which enables Jett to make a high jump in the air. This skill allows Jett to reach places that are normally not accessible to any other Valorant characters.
For example, by using Updraft skill, you can jump on the crates and take a sniper position, or in one second jump through a window into a corridor where an opponent may be hiding.
Tailwind
Tailwind is another skill that makes Jett and extremely mobile character. The Tailwind allows Jett to make a slide (dash) and to quickly proper in the selected direction - forward or to the sides.
Tailwind is a great skill that will allow you to avoid being detected or evade incoming attacks. By using this skill, you can also surprise your opponent and jump out of the corner at the least expected moment.
In Patch 1.0, which was implemented on the day of Valorant's release, the Tailwind ability has gained an additional effect. A successful Tailwind automatically destroys Cypher's Trapwires, just moments after the player's position is revealed.
Blade Storm - Ultimate
Blade Storm is the last skill of Jett and the most dangerous one. Jett is equipped with a set of deadly and extremely accurate knives that can be thrown at enemies. Jett is equipped with five knives, which she can throw one at a time or release them all at once.
After activating the Blade Storm skill, Jett can still move freely on the map and use other skills like Tailwind. It's also worth noting that after the target is eliminated, the Blade Storm ability is renewed so you can use it again.
