Ranger skills
Multi Arrow Description: Shoots 2-11 arrows dealing 75% damage each. Comment: Deadly skill against single targets, very useful both at the beginning and in the later stage of the game.
Ranger Precision Description: Increases damage dealt in Sniper Mode by 5-50%. Comment: Useful at the beginning, when the inflicted damage is low or against single enemies located far away.
Steady Hand Description: Allows you to mark 2-11 targets in Sniper Mode. Comment: Also very useful skill but only at the beginning, it is better to invest points into another skills.
Starting Draw Description: Initial draw at 5-50%. Comment: The starting draw allows to quickly attack the enemy which surprised us, so it is worth to develop this skill.
Quick Draw Description: +8-80% bow drawing speed. Comment: Invest in this later on, when shooting quickly is essential against stronger enemies.
Overdraw Description: Ability to overdraw the bow by 10-100%. Comment: As above - overdraw is best to invest later in the game.
Marksman Description: 1-10% chance for critical hit when using a bow. Comment: Not so much chances for a critical hit makes spending points into more valuable skills a good idea. You may be interested in it at the end stage of the game, when you develop your hero's other skills.
Fire Arrow Description: Deals additional 20-200% of your Physical Damage as Fire Damage with an explosive range of 0-7m. Comment: Area damages from fire is ideal for the extermination of the undead and mummy. Please note that some monsters are immune to such attacks.
Ice Arrow Description: Deals additional 10-100% of your Physical Damage as Frost Damage. Chills enemies within a range of 1.5-6m slowing them down by 32-50%. Comment: Very useful if you are being attacked be a horde of enemies - after slowing them down you will gain some time. Please note that some monsters are immune to such attacks.
Distraction Arrow Description: Creates a monstrous diversion attracting nearby enemies. After 11-20s the decoy explodes and deals 20-200% of you Physical Damage as Spectral Damage within a range of 2.8-5.5m. Comment: Skill is useful at the beginning, when you are not able to take the fight against a larger group of enemies - created monster gain for us some time. Please note that some monsters are immune to such attacks.
Poison Arrow Description: Deals additional 30-300% of your Physical Dagame as Poison Damage. Slows enemy down by 32-50%. Comment: Poison damage deals additional damage after you hit the target, slowly killing the enemy. Unfortunately, this skill doesn't have an area effect, which does not make it so attractive in the later stage of the game. Please note that some monsters are immune to such attacks. |
The numbers marked in green, which can be found in the table above, represent the skill level (from level 1 to 10).
What is worth investing
The basis for fighting at a closer distance is Starting Draw, allowing you to save yourself in case of getting surprised by the enemy. As for shooting speed, Quick Draw and Overdraw - both skills should be developed simultaneously but only later on in the game, at a higher hero level.
Ranger Precision and Steady Hand are useless (note that precision, as a passive skill, affects poison arrow attack, which is launched in sniper mode) because of the time it takes to switch the targeting mode to Sniper and selecting individual enemies.
Multi Arrow is another one of the basic skills that should be developed regardless of choice made on the others. Very useful against even a single target.
Marksman is also worth of interest at the very end, because of the low percentage of chance offered at lower levels.
An important choice is also the type of arrows, which you want to develop: Fire Arrow, Ice Arrow, Distraction Arrow, Poison Arrow. Note that monsters are immune to various elements, which somehow force you to invest in all those skills.
