What is worth investing
The maximum level of class upgrades can be 20. It is worth to invest primarily in Metallurgy.
Depending on specialization you focus on, you have a choice of:
Warrior - Mandatory Armor Reinforcement and Weapon Forging, because you will be able to increase your defense and attack. If you choose a one-handed combat weapon and a shield it is worth to invest in Weapon Forging and Shield Casting - you will focus on defense using a shield, not your own body.
Ranger - simple matter of course, invest mainly in the Archery Craftsmanship skill.
Mage - Alchemy is the only additional skill in which you have to invest.
It is worth to spend a few extra points on Fusion regardless of the chosen specialization. The additional damage from the elements, increased resistance etc., are all useful for both the warrior and ranger, as well as for the mage.
