Step 1: Talk with the merchants on the pier

On the pier you will find a few merchants (M7, 25). One of them will be happy to talk with you about the Kayran. He however won't be eager to make a contribution to the prize offered to the sorceress. He will suggest that she can share with you. Depending on the conversation, you can reach a few offers:

• You can ask for initial payment at once - you will receive 200 orens now and 1300 after you kill the Kayran.
• You can ask for the prize to be doubled - afterwards you will have to use Axii hex or intimidation. As a result, you will receive 2000 orens for killing the Kayran.
• Tell him that in such case you're leaving. The merchant will stop you and throw in something more. You can also ask for an initial payment. As a result you will receive 200 orens of initial payment (if you asked for it), plus 1300 orens.

In order to continue, you have to finish The Kayran.

Step 2: Collect the prize for killing the Kayran

After killing the monster return to the merchant (M7, 25) and collect you prize. Depending on how you led the previous conversation, you will receive a determined amount of orens and additionally a Formula: Kayran Carapace Armor
