Step 1: Learn more about harpies

The mission is connected with a notice placed on the bulletin board "Proclamation of Closure of the Mines". It's a good idea to take the notice from the board and continue completing other quests - the first part of the mission will pretty much complete itself. In order to learn more about Harpies, you just have to kill a couple of them. You can start eliminating them in the quarry (M13, 3), which is overflowing with them.

Step 2: Use harpy traps

Once you kill enough monsters, proper information will be displayed and the second part of the mission will begin. You will notice harpy lairs on the rock ledges. Unfortunately you won't be able to reach them - you have to use traps, which the harpies will take to their nests and destroy them that way.

The Harpy Trap formula can be bought from Hagart (M15, 13). In order to create it, you need 2x Oil, 1x Timber, 1x Silver Ore. In total, you need seven traps.

You need to place four traps in the quarry (M13, 3) and the other three in the harpy lair (M13, 6) - you will go there during the main part of Hunting Magic.

Step 3: Get your reward from Cecil Burdon

Once you destroy all the tunnels, go to Cecil Burdon (M15, 12) to collect your reward. You will also receive the Fire Rune and some orens.
