Act 1

Received from: Silie's captain corpse (M8, 13)

Step 1: Search the ship wreck

Right beside the Kayran's nest, you will find a ship wreck (impossible to miss) (M8, 13). There you will find a corpse and Silie's captain key.

The key can be used to open the chest on the opposite side of the wreck. Inside it you will find the captain journal and report.

Step 2: Read the journal and report

After reading the notes you will conclude that the captain was trying to send the report, but out of unknown reasons he ultimately wasn't able to. Geralt, being a good Samaritan, will decide to find the Royal Mail and send the report.

Step 3: Find the letter box

The letter box can be found in two places:

• At Louis Marse's. Description in Step 4, Option A.
• Inside Loredo's residence. Description in Step 4, Option B.

In the first case you can head there at once. The case with Loredo's residence is a bit more complicated.

Step 4, Option A: Throw the report into the Royal Mail box at Louis Marse's

This option is by far the easier one. Head to Louis Marse (M7, 15) and you will note a mail box on his desk. You can throw in the captain's report and also try to take out the letter that's inside at the moment. Unfortunately Louis will react to that - you can try to Axii hex him.

Notice! You have to end this stage of the mission with supporting one of the conflict sides, that is At a Crossroads: Scoia'tael / Vernon Roche.

Step 4, Option B: Throw the report into the Royal Mail box at Loredo's

You shouldn't have any problems with throwing the letter into the box at Loredo's residence. Things will get more complicated if you try to recover the box's content, as it's locked. The key can be acquired only by killing Loredo during Death to the Traitor!

Notice! There will be only two times during which you will have access to Loredo's box: during Indecent Proposal and later on after choosing Roche's path in Death to the Traitor!

Step 5: Once you leave Flotsam, find the second ship wreck

After reading the letter from the box, you will decide to find the second ship wreck.

Act 2

In accordance with the notes obtained during Act 1, you will find the second ship wreck in Pontar Valley. Search the chest there to find Journal from the Eyla Tarn. From it you will learn of the treasure hidden under Loc Muinne.

Notice! Try not to use up the materials found in the chest, as they will come in handy to create the Vran Armor.

How to reach -Iorweth's path

Leave Vergen and head towards the gullies, where you will come across a troll (M13, 10). Keep going south and take a right at the crossroads. You will find a ship wreck (M13, 12)

How to reach -Roche's path

After getting rid of the mist during Vergen Besieged you will come across right beside the ship wreck (M23, 15). You can also head there during The Blood Curse, once you reach Vergen.

Act 3

As you going through Loc Muinne, you will come across a sewer entrance (M31, 16). Inside you will find a chest (M33, 3). Open it with the key that you got from the chest during the first Act.

Step 1: Find the mage-blacksmith who will forge the Vran Armor

The only local blacksmith who knows magic is Bras of Ban Ard, who can be found at the main square (M31, 20). The mission will end completely.

Notice! In order to make the armor you will need two important parts which can be found inside chests connected with this mission in the second and third Act: Armor of Ysgith (Act 3) and Vran Reinforcement (Act 2).

Notice! The Vran Reinforcement can be bought from Bras of Ban Ard (M31, 20).
