Chapter 3: Support Group | Episode IV: Around Every Corner The Walking Dead Guide

When the cutscene is over you will regain control over Lee. You can look at the Ladder, but this way is cut off. Go down the steps and go right. Along the way, you can look at the grates (Look At: Grate), but you won't be able to do anything with them. You'll reach a tunnel leading down. Lee will topple over if you choose to go in the middle of it. If you go along the left or right side of the tunnel - it won't happen. However, it does not really matter anyway.
After you've "landed" you can look at a Dead Rat. Lee will not want to touch it (Pick Up: Dead Rat). Go to the left, and when the scene changes - move straight ahead and then left again. Along the way you can look at the Pipe on the right.
The way out (Look At: Passage Way) is blocked by a group of zombies. The closer you get to them, the redder the screen will become till the zombies will finally bite you to death. So don't go near them. Instead, enter the low Passage Way on the left.
Go forward until you reach the wheel. Turn the wheel right (Turn right: Pipe) to loosen it and then take it with you (Pick Up: Pipe). The path you came here has been cut off. Therefore, go left through the second corridor.
When the scene changes, you will need to go to the foreground of the screen till you get the passage way that was blocked earlier (Open: Passage Way). You won't manage to open it, but you can pry it (Pry: Passage Way). Only then will it be open. You'll find yourself in the tunnel you were in a while ago.
Keep going further but do not turn left under any circumstances! If you do that, the zombies will get Lee. Instead, you should notice the pipe on the right - you can attach the wheel to it (Place Valve: Pipe). Do it and then turn it right (Turn right: Pipe).
As quickly as you can go to the low passage way through the grate you've just opened (after the scene changes it will be on the left) before the zombies get you (Enter: Passage Way). Then go to the fork and wait till all the zombies move to the right.
Only after that can you exit the passage way and enter the corridor. Go left until you get to Chuck's body. After the cutscene, look at the zombies in the distance and attack them (Attack: Zombie).
[PANIC EVENT - START]
Along the way, your leg will get caught by a zombie from under the grate. You must free yourself. Do not shoot, since it won't work anyway, and you will not only lose precious time but also lure the group of zombies that is at the end of the corridor (The sound alerted the walkers.). Instead, use the hook of the climbing pick (Pry). You will also need to keep pressing the button shown on the screen and then press the next one once.
As soon as the free yourself, you will have to deal with yet another zombie. Once more, you can choose the gun (Shoot: Zombie) or the pick (Attack: Zombie), and again, the shot will lure the group of zombies that is in the other end of the canal (although this time it will be an effective method) (The sound alerted the walkers.). So it is best to use the climbing pick.

Attention! If you shot, you will need to perform the next actions quickly, before the zombies alerted by your shot come to you.
There isn't anything for you to do in the lower part of the tunnel. You won't manage to open the grate (Pick Up: Grate), nor pry it (Pry: Gate). You can look at the Broken Ladder but you won't be able to pick it up, either (Pick Up: Broken Ladder). As there is nothing else for you to do here, go to the upper part of the tunnel using the steps on the right or left.
You won't manage to open the door on the right (Pick Up: Door), nor break it (Pry: Door). You can look at the Sign. You won't be able to reach the ladder (Grab: Ladder), but you can try to grab it with the climbing pick (Pry: Ladder).
Lee will fall over, which will make the sign loosen. It turns out that there is something behind it ... Move the sign (Pick Up: Sign) and then go through the hidden passage behind it (Walk Through: Passage).
You'll find yourself in a shelter with beds and lots of supplies! You can look at the Beds and the Food on the shelves. However, your main goal is to get out of here, so use the door on the right (Open: Door).
Surprise! You'll meet a group of survivors, and after a while one of them will point a gun at your head. Your answer will be important - see the table below.
2. "Who are you?"
(1): I don't want any trouble. | You tried to calm things down. |

It does not matter what you'll answer to the next question. However, the third dialogue with the newly met characters is also the next difficult choice you need to make in the fourth episode.
[TOUGH DECISION #2]
- Talking to Vernon calmly and honestly.
- Threatening or lying to Vernon.
You will make the second tough decision by choosing one of the dialogue options below. If you select silence, you'll die.
3. "(...) Think, Vernon! What do you think they'll do if they find out we're down here, right under their feet?"
(1): Let's talk about this. | You chose to reason with the group. |
(2): [Threaten him] | You chose to threaten the man. |
(3): I'm not from Crawford. | You chose to reason with the group. |
(4): ... | If you choose this option, Vernon will shoot you. |

But it is not over yet. You still need to take the gun from Vernon. Depending on what you selected in the previous dialogue, you can do it slowly and peacefully (Calmly Take: Gun), or not (Grab: Gun). In both cases, you have to do it quickly - otherwise Vernon will simply shoot you.
[PANIC EVENT - END]
The conversation will go on. The decision you've just taken will run through what Vernon and Brie will be saying. Moreover, Vernon will remember your next replies.
4. "(...) How did you find your way down here?"
(1): Walkers. | You were honest. |
(2): We were looking for a boat. | You were honest. |
(3): That's not important. | You chose to avoid the question. |
(4): ... | You chose to avoid the question. |
At the end you will have an opportunity to ask Vernon to help you get back to the house.
5. "That sewer system you came through runs all over the city, it'll take you wherever you want to go."
(1): I'll be fine on my own. | You chose to go alone. |
(2): Can you show me the way back? | You asked for help. |
(3): ... | You chose to go alone. |
Regardless of the answer you've chosen, you will put yourself at Vernon's mercy anyway, as the sewer system is a sheer maze. Choose the way you'll persuade him to help you.
6. "Besides, why should we help you?"
(1): We can help you, we have medicine. [LIE] | You lied to Vernon about having meds. |
(2): If you don't, I'll kill you. | You chose to threaten them. |
(3): I have to get back to Clementine. | See dialogue #7. |

Vernon will believe your lie (1) only if you didn't threaten him earlier. Otherwise you will need to choose one of the other options. Silence (4) is also a good answer, because then Lee will tell Vernon that Omid is injured.
7. "She's your daughter?"
(1): Yes. | Vernon will remember that. |
(2): No. | You told the truth. |
(3): ... | You were silent. |
If you choose silence, Vernon will think that Clementine is really your daughter.
Watch the cutscene and wait till Lee and Vernon are in the house. You'll be welcomed by Molly, who will either mention that she saved your ass, or say that she's the person who kicked it (depending on whether you won the fight with her in the previous chapter, or not). Your answer will be important.
8. "Who's the fossil?"
(1): Where's Clementine? | You avoided Molly's question. |

After a moment, Christa will go down the stairs. If in dialogue # 6 Vernon believed your lie about the meds, he will now ask about them. If you remained silent at that time, Vernon will ask about Omid. Anyway you will all go to see Omid. After a brief conversation, Lee will come out of the room and then you'll regain control over him. Time to find Clementine!
